Yeah I would have gone with something like "ill give my right arm"

But I already said i'd give my two arms and legs for an interview, which I got.

So the next logical appendage would be...

 What would I do without you guys? You crack me up.

I'm supposed to be studying right now, as I have a test in less than 6 hours, but I'm being overcome by a fit of Inflammation of the Senior (AKA Senioritis), and I haven't gotten much done. Oh yes, and SDN isn't helping much.

well im supposed to be working

but im waiting on reagents and also cells

and ive been overcome by lunchtime food coma and i cant even do SDN because im so sleepy

think it'll cause any snags if i ranked those i declined as well? man recalling/finding all those interview dates was a pain.

I ended up ranking:

1)UTSA
2)UTMB
3)Tech
4)TCOM (prematch acceptance)

After much going back and forth and asking everyone I could think of, I put Tech in front of TCOM. Here's hoping for SA though!!

E-rage, I looked at the tmdsas Applicant Profile/RCW/LMFU/Whatever-you-want-to-call-it page and saw the "Applicantion Status" you spoke of earlier. That's hilarious!

Hopefully most of us are appliCANS instead of appliCANTS

Here's my list

1. A&M
2. Texas Tech

no pre match
my other interviews

3. vanderbilt (rejection)
4. U of Pitt (rejection)
5. Toledo (acceptance)
6. Ohio State (waiting)
7. Rosalind Franklin (withdrew)
8. Creighton (withdrew)
9. Chicago college of medicine (withdrew
10. New York Medical school (withdrew)
11. Albany (withdrew)

Did anyone's LMFU change? Mine changed to today's date....is that good or bad?? 😱

Did anyone's LMFU change? Mine changed to today's date....is that good or bad?? 😱

Oooo noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Here we go. Again.

I've heard that some or all of the schools have already submitted their ranked lists of interviewed candidates so everyone probably had an LMFU change today. I spoke to a friend at UT-H and she said that they had just submitted their list recently.

As for good vs. bad: just being on the list doesn't tell us how high up or low we are on it so I would deem these LMFU changes as yet another non-readable piece of info.

Non-Texas residents, MD/PhD, DO/PhD and MD/MBA applicants will not be included in the match process. Medical schools may begin extending offers of acceptance to these applicants beginning October 15.

That's copied directly from the TMDSAS website
http://www.utsystem.edu/tmdsas/Acceptance-MatchInfo.htm#AcceptanceInfo

While I absolutely do not mind answering question (seriously), I do recommend checking the TMDSAS website for the majority of questions regarding apps, interviews, match and the like. It has quite a bit of information if you just look around a bit. I bet it would even be faster than waiting for a lovely reply on SDN 🙂

OK, sorry to bring up this old post, but when I asked about OOS people and the match, I had already read TMDSAS's website. My confusion lies in the UTH email I received, instructing me to rank them on the match list. I was able to do so on the website, so I did. I tried calling TMDSAS but the voice message refers any match questions back to the website.

I feel sick. I always got vague answers. I though only IS was supposed to use the match list. I didn't rank anything on TMDSAS, if we were Im gonna kill myself. UT Houston is my first choice. If something stupid like this keeps me out of med school for the fourth year in a row, its over.

I could have swore during the interview, Dr. Kellaway told the oos ppl to not use the match list. Who knows, the ambiguity is killing me. 🙁 🙁

Same here, no LMFU update as well 🙁

Everything with UT-H was so organized and perfect. Its all the post interview stuff thats killing us. Being an Illinois resident sucks.

Any fellow in-state people with LMFU changes?

Fyi, i think you can still rank it if you need to. call up ut-h and tmdsas for answers.

Hey thanks. I just went to the TMDSAS site and ranked it. Thank god, that gave me some peace of mind. I called UT-H and can't really get a straight answer. I am so nervous :scared:

Thanks again🙂

I think you're probably right, actually. I also remember clearly being told that OOS do not participate in the match. Their email is what confused me, though, talking about the "new match system."

Yeah that update email was really confusing. When I first got it, I thought it was a WL or acceptance. I ended up ranking it like you just in case. Are you going to call on the 16th or 17th if you dont hear anything? I am so figidity.

No LMFU change today. It must be their match list, because it looks like those of us who declined or were accepted pre-match didn't change.

I LOVE how Texas is taking over the boards now that it is Feb. 1st! hehehe

Mine changed today and I had two declines along with my one accept for my pre-match offers.

Just to make sure, you guys with the confusion (I admit UTH should give you a straight answer, the questions isn't that hard), are you just going to school out of state but your legal state of residence is Texas, or you actually a Texas Non-Resident? I don't know all the rules for being a Texas resident, but all I do know is that each school can only have 10% non-residents, so that doesn't leave too many spaces. The way I understand it, if you are a non-resident of Texas you do not participate in the match. If I were you I would call Houston and harass them until they give you a straight answer.
I'm sorry this is becoming such a stressful thing for you because it should NOT be this difficult for you to find an answer

oh yeah I'm Texas resident and I had no LMFU change. I had three pre-match declines and one pre-match acceptance.

So based on these responses, am I to assume that if my LMFU didn't change today (and I'm solely dependent on the match), that I didn't match?

No, the rankings are not due yet, there is no way they can determine the match until the rankings are official.
Besides I doubt that all the schools are finished with their rankings.

I wouldn't think that 🙂 your LMFU does change the first time you put in match stuff I think. Mine did like the day after I put in my match prefs. (I did it early to get it done) So don't worry yet. I think someone said this before, but a fly could land on your file and your LMFU would change. :luck: :luck:

Cool. Thanks, kemper and Sarah.

Mine hasn't change either. I refuse to think it has to do with matching or not matching. I'm guessing one of the schools that I didn't interview at (uts-dubya, uth, and tcom) must have sent in their list.

I am a Non-Resident. I will call UTH and try to see what's happening.

Ok, I called UTH, and despite their confusing email, they said that non-residents DO NOT participate in the Texas match system.

wow... its feb 1st already.... only 14 more days to go!!! good luck everyone....

i spy #6 = filo (TAMU) and #5 = joel (TCOM).

also, i can't believe this is the home stretch. just thinking about it is increasing my heart rate.

Half right...#5 is Joel (TCOM), but #6 is not Filo (he is on there though)

Is #4 Wes Norred?

I've got all my people mixed up. I should know better, haha. 😕

Edit: Never mind.

Will we get to see if we got into all of the schools. I ranked my pre-match offer as #1 and want to see if I get into my lower ranked schools. Anyone know?

I don't think you can get into more than 1 school. That is precisely why the match system exists.

You can get into more than one school, your acceptances to the lower ranked schools are withdrawn once you match to the higher one. As of now, I will be attending UT-H, but I could have also been accepted to UT-SA and TTech. I just wanted to know if we could find out if we were accepted to the lower schools.

I meant through the match. 🙄

I think 2 is UTSW. I can't remember his name though. That's probably bad 🙂

Is there any way to see the picture bigger?

I mean concerning Houston b/c it is thought to be their match list for those who have not already been accepted or declined them.

Am I wrong?

My LMFU hasn't changed since 12/14 and I updated my match list and accept/decline list 12/31

oh gosh, i think i'm gonna be sick.. no lmfu change. repeat ***it doesn't mean anything.. it doesn't mean anything...it doesn't mean anything*** gulp
