I mean, what should I expect? I've had 4 interviews in TX, and so far Houston and Galveston continue to ignore me...well, so does Baylor but hey, that's Baylor and they have the right to ignore me.

Okay, back to pretending to study for a test that is supposed to start in about 1.5 hours.


PS to Anastasis: Our guys lost to your guys this past weekend. For a moment, we thought there was a tiny ray of hope when we were tied in the fourth quarter, and even for a moment contemplated ripping the goal posts once-again (you know, if we won). Too bad. Our football still sucks. Oh, and sorry to hear about Vandy. I'm sure somebody bigger and better will accept you though, then you can kick Vandy's butt.

Ms. Baylormed,

I disagree that your football team sucks. I think Baylor is making wonderful strides and them taking a good team, in A&M, to the wire (at least to the 4th quarter) is nothing to be ashamed of. Baylor is getting things in order it has just taken them a long time because your program was so far below the rest of the B12 South. Future looks good on the Brazos and I am happy to see it. I am an underdog fan(requisite of any Texas Tech fan).

Glad to see some college football fans on here besides Ana and me.

I just got a responds from UT san antonio saying they offer invites through snail mail. Ne one know if that is true?

Awww... In all honesty I was insanely busy this weekend, plus out of town. So I didn't watch the game (was it even on TV?)

I've become a very bad Aggie fan this season since I seem to be places where I can't watch/listen to the game almost every game day. Though I did drive up and watch the Tech vs A&M game, which was a fantastic game. Can't even get mad about losing because that was such a beautiful pass/catch to win the game.

I still 😍 my Aggies though!

But I agree with Rambler: It's the underdog teams that are the most fun to cheer for!

Which means I hope everyone will be cheering my Aggies on when they beat the hell outta t.u. this Thanksgiving. 😍

Still waiting on the letter. At this point I'm SURE it's a rejection. What else could take so friggin' long!??!
 
NE other texas schools that rely on snail mail only for invites?
 
I just thought I would add that when my San Antonio interview came, it was email, not snail mail. I haven't gotten any invites via snail mail.
 
acceptances starting in two weeks, guys! ya'll are gonna kick ass.

Nope, AggieJohn got it in email because that's how they did their first wave at UTSA, all the subsequent invites from them have been gastropod mail.
 
Does anyone know which Texas schools are pretty good with rescheduling interviews if you already have another one scheduled for that same day?

UTSW is easy to reched, you can do it online.
Texas Tech, I don't know, but I had a choice between two days.
A&M is open to resched, but they ask why.
UTMB will do it if they absolutely must, but have a damn good reason to convince them.
UTH, hell no, they won't do anything for you about rescheduling.
TCOM asks you before they schedule you, very flexible.

Haha thanks! I guess you have some personal experience with UTH huh?
 
I just called UTMB and they said that their last day for interview is November 17th. So...assuming like 2 week notice...I'm guessing maybe people should be hearing..like Nov. 3rd for any final interview invites..dunno. UTH's last day for interview is Jan. 5th according to their admissions office too. Dunno about others.

You are right, I might have been a little too harsh 😳 . Baylor IS making progress, and comparing our team now to the team I remember from my freshman year, they have definetely gotten better. Hopefully this year we'll get to play a bowl game, since last year we got very close only to be disappointed. O well, I still bleed green and gold. 😍

UTSW is like 1/6 I think.

When I emailed UTMB, they responded saying they interview up until Dec. 1st. The website says the 17th also, but those dates were tentative. Dunno what to think. oh well. Hope I hear from them in the next few days.
 
Do most of the schools give a 2-3 week notification prior to the interview date? The only two I've had so far (UTMB and TTU) gave a week notice prior to.

Most do, but I got more notice from UTMB so maybe things are changing towards the end of the season.
 
Alright UTSW...just go ahead a send my letter so I get it on the 15th (hoping)...

If yall had one more win (*cough* Army *cough*) a bowl game might've been possible, but with Tech, OSU, and OU ahead... ouch. Hopefully we softened Tech up for ya. 🙂

As far as rescheduling for Tech goes, just shoot the main administrator an email or two with your excuse and she'll give you another two dates to choose from.

No need, our run defense comes velvety soft, especially for mobile quarterbacks. Too bad Baylor lost Bell.

Did your "Application Status" on the "Interview Confirmation/Change and Application Status" site change? (I'm instate and it says "Interviewed" for me under Application Status, and it would be nice to know if they update that to "Accepted"...)

FYI, I was told today that the first wave of A&M acceptance was sent out last week. I thinki it mostly consist of offers to MD/PHD and OOS students, since IS won't start receive those 11/15. Anyone got the news?

I logged into the site just now and I don't notice anything different on the initial screen or the "application profile/status" page. Sorry...when did you interview?

10/14. Too bad! Of course, I can't hear anything until 11/15 anyway, but since I despise snailmail, it might've been nice to logon and see "Accepted" since they changed it from "Invited to Interview" to "Interviewed."

Last cycle, the OOS acceptees accepted before Texas match day didn't show a status change on that page until TX resident applicants matched.
 
UT - San Antonio sent me an interview invite postmarked on Halloween. I'm waiting for the follow-up letter that says, "TRICK!!"

I'm very afraid of not hearing anything, I'd really prefer to not have to wait until February 15th. 😴

Please view the Official Acceptances thread. UTMB, there were a couple OOS accepted already. A&M no.
 
Hm...where's the :luck: from A&M and Tech?? At least give me one more invite to make 5 and I'll be happy. 🙂
 
i'm oos and i got into utmb last friday. as for the other schools, no word (i wasn't called to interview at houston).
 
I interviewed at UT Houston September 29th (OOS) and still haven't heard back. So... am I pretty much rejected?
