There is no clear cut answer. It looks like these dates can mean multiple schools. By first glance it looks like 111006 could mean UTH, but Pkobi got into houston with an 100406. We have to wait for more schools, TT and UTSA to fill in some of the gaps. UTSA looks strong, maybe for both 100406 and 111006. Of course, there is a lot of interviews for people from TAMU on the 100406, but no acceptances. Gosh dang it, I have no clue

hmm, i wonder if the schools send out a pretty comprehensive list to TMDSAS .. then send emails to the top ranked ppl... wait a little bit for ppl to decline... then send out some more emails.??

could explain changes in LMFU but no acceptances as of yet
 
Interesting info. Might need to consider when the interview dates were. My LFMU was 9/16/06. All my interviews were july and August (7/28, 8/28, 8/31). I'm in TCOM so far. No love from TAMU or UTSA yet but I wonder if I still have a chance even though my LMFU wasn't 10/04/06. I was happy with my TCOM accept yesterday, but now I'm back to obsessing with LMFU's and hoping the TAMU will give me an acceptance. Eeek! 🙂

Watch the "code" turn out to be some sort of ultimate formula that's capable of tracking anything from stock market movement to seismic activity. We're on the verge of something huge, people...
 
Is anyone still getting emails from TAMU or did they send the emails all in a batch? If they sending individually, did anyone receive it very close to now or have they stopped? Congrats to everyone who has an acceptance! Also, the people who got in TAMU, when was your interview?

Congrats all. I'm wondering if emails are still trickling in from UTH as well (or if they're done for a while). Pleeeease....
 
Ok, I hate to feed other people's almost pathological obsessions, but what the hell... I'm going to go to med school... obsessive compulsive disorder should become my friend.

I'm OOS, accepted at UTSA and TCOM, and my LMFU date is: 111006

Not sure if my being OOS has any bearing on your cracking of the Da Vinci code, but just wanted to help out if possible.
 
Congrats Windsen. Man, now I'm starting to lose hope about TAMU or UTSA because of the LMFU. Oh well. there's always the match.

Hmm... even though I think LMFU means nothing, it still bothers me that mine is not 111006. For some reason, it looks like a lot of acceptances have that LMFU. Poop. (Congrats again though)

Did you JUST receive one or was it sent earlier and you just happened to check now? Are they still sending acceptances to TAMU? Congrats by the way..

LMFU is the last master file update of your TMDSAS app. And I too await a UTH email. Damn, I really want that email.

:laugh: I've got two (very simple) leading possibilities in mind... but I think we should wait for UTSA acceptances to come in before speculating much more.

Please, UTSA. Please? Pretty please?... :scared:

Go to status of application, then click on "applicant profile." LMFU is at the very top. By the way, we have been told repeatedly that it means nothing, but the debate rages on none the less. Just take it with a grain of salt. Or wait for your mail, either way...

I got into UTMB!!!

No, I got mine via snail mail (both of them) that week after 10/15. Actually, TCOM posted it on their site around 10/17 I believe, but the mail took almost a week longer to get here. So I guess that doesn't help crack the code at all, sorry. I see now what you're doing.

And your LMFU updated 11/10/06 all after you got your acceptances. Interesting. either the LMFU code is weirder than we thought or the OOS is different from us IS'ers. Probably the latter.

I'm really really afraid of that.
What have I been doing wrong?!?!?!? :scared: I wish some of this rejection would come with a brutally honest explanation.
I'm going to wait until the mail truck has come and gone on Saturday before I despair entirely... but it's really not looking good.

I'm going to go do some preparations for dinner. Making something good for my husband is therapeutic. And way easier than my relativity homework.
 
Another interesting trend seems to be that few older/non-traditional students received acceptances today. I see runningmom got one from TCOM (congrats again!) but that's it, unless I am mistaken. Any other older/non-traditional students get accepted today?

Are there many others here at all, besides you, me and runningmom? She's got more years in service than I have and more kids than you have 😉 , so it may be tough to blame our non-acceptance on non-trad-ness.

Well, I can always fall back on my GPA as an excuse. Sounds better than "writes a horrible essay and comes off badly in interviews."

I'm taking a year off before I go to med school, but that hardly seems nontrad nowadays.

We don't know it yet, but to my mind it's one of two simple explanations for the LFMU trend. It's not any more likely than the other (a mass TMDSAS-level data entry involving acceptances from several schools), so I suggest we don't do much more speculating until the UTSA results come in. Then it'll be pretty clear one way or the other. Which won't help us any, but maybe next year's folks will be glad to know.

lilTX has been saying this all day but has not offered an explanation as to how they heard this information. I wish they would tell, but I think it is just speculation based upon the chart above.

I don't know if you guys consider me not traditional or not. I consider myself to be (for anyone who doesn't know, I'm 24 and had a *short* other career).

But I don't think I'm nontrad enough to screw up your theory which makes me sad, I'm so cheering for you, Pemb and runningmom (the TX nontrads I can think of off the top of my head).

my date was 100406 and i had 3 interviews at am, utmb and tcom and was accepted to all 3 🙂
