yeah true. Looks strange to see Harvard so low, but then again I doubt they need federal funding as much. Baylor doesn't seem so far off from the likes of Stanford/Michigan. Nice.

Regardless of whether or not you are "dicking around," I think your use of the word "***" is truly inappropriate. I would have hoped that individuals with higher education, such as yourself (supposedly), would have eliminated such derogatory language from their vocabulary. I am deeply disappointed.

If you are holding multiple acceptances, you choose one. If you have no schools that you want to go to where you interviewed at but did not get accepted, then yes you are more or less making a final decision.

(unless you pick one and then decide later afterwards that you want an acceptance that you turned down or one that you interviewed at but not accepted)

If you have one where you interviewed at, but didn't get accepted, and it's your top choice, then you really aren't making your final decision in Jan. You are making a decision basically for your #2 school. Then you put all your chips in the pot and gamble in February for your top choice.

Hey, you don't go to TMDSAS to decline an offer you have already accepted. You write the school and let them know that you have reconsidered and decline the seat and they will withdraw it. You do not have to notify TMDSAS of this but the school supposedly lets TMDSAS know this...

Interesting theory. Hope you are correct. I just got my LMFU changed to 12/11. I'm in a similar boat as you. I interviewed at TCOM, TAMU, and also UTSA. Got a TCOM acceptance and that seemed to be updated very promptly on my LMFU. But now I have a 12/11 update and hopefully it means another acceptance. Of course from reading other people's reponses, it might mean a UTMB rejection. who knows.

I got the UTMB rejection letter today but LMFU wasn't updated (still 11/16/06) so hmmph

My LMFU hasn't moved in a while and now it reads 12-11-06 and this "RCW" update thing says 12-08-06. I interviewed at four texas schools Ut-H, UT-SA, Tech and TAMU and I haven't heard a damn thing from anyone pre-match. I had a fantastic interview at UT-SA that ended with the nterviewer saying "What can I do to convince you to come to SA" and then nada. He gave me his card and I sent him an e-mail so maybe this LMFU is a SA acceptance?

So I guess this LMFU could be a UTMB rejection since I got my apps in early and didn't interview there or a UT-SW interview (late with that secondary). Is there any real consensus on LMFU other than it means news? good or bad?

I believe "***" is another word for "cigarette butt", often used in Europe? Perhaps the situation may arise where "***" can be used, therefore, I do not see the merit in discarding such a descriptor.

Surely a member of this society of "individuals with higher education" such as yourself would have been cognizant of this term. I am deeply disappointed as well.

MIght want to do both. TMDSAS changes may take a week or two to take effect. Going directly to the schools will save potential headaches in the future.

thanks playmaker, at this point "news" of any sort would be welcome. This waiting and watching is killin me.

If we have good grades coming this semester should I send updated transcripts to TMDSAS and the schools along with a "I'm still really interested letter" and resume type thing to try and elicit a last minute pre-match offer or is that just unhelpful fluff at this point? Any thoughts?

I think thats a bit over kill i am sure they are aware you are very interested along with many other students but just be patient they have only admitted enough students to fill half of their class trust me if you did that well on your interview i am sure you will be with me and the rest of the UTHSCSA class of 2011 pretty soon good luck!

Thanks for the tip. Looks my LMFU was 12/7. Not sure if that is good or bad. I'm just thankful that I got some interview invites considering I got my stuff in pretty late.

did anyone else get super-quick TMDSAS verified app -> interview invites (within days??)?

I'm just worried that w/ the rolling admissions (and as many other ppl stated about UTMB seats being filled) that I wont get any pre-match offers being fairly late in the (texas) game... but the invites were def. reassuring.

well i was verified on one day and two days later i had two interviews so i guess its a good thing maybe? Also i think all you need is one interview to get in also if you have about three interviews and you can speak you will have at least one acceptance

Yeah, I had the same thing... probably the same schools and probably the same interview dates. I hope the short turn around is a good sign

I went to Cuernevaca for a Spanish course. It is a great city to live in! I attended the Kulkulkan Language Institute. It was great and they assign you a family to live with. Which school are you looking at? There are several language schools in Cuernevaca.
