mines still 12/11...what was yours before it was 12/18, AlisaGirlX? should i even be stressin over LMFUs? Damn that question! 😕

has anyone heard anything from utsw or utmb for that matter recently?(i.e. they are sending out batches of acceptances or rejetions?)

Because the last day for rolling tx admission acceptances, then if you were to get a pre-match offer, it would be before Dec 31... correct?
 
From what we've heard... UTMB is done sending out prematch acceptance offers. UTSW is doing smaller batches (maybe today?)

For the LMFU people wanting into TAMU -- mine just changed yesterday and I am not waiting on an acceptance from TAMU (received one on nov 15th and already declined to open up a spot for you guys).

The only school I have not heard from is Tech so it could be a Tech accept/reject... I did the accept/decline thing on the TMDSAS website 12/12 and my LMFU did not update until yesterday so it could just be a reflection of that.

my LMFU is up to 12/19. I don't know guys, I got my hopes WAY up when it changed to 12/11, but NOTHING happened!! I can't stand this waiting anymore. 😱

I'm also assuming they all use regular mail (not a phone call or email) for aceptences?

And by your sig, I see you are gong to UTMB? Congrats! i enjoyed that school when i was there for the interview

It was 12/11 and I got an acceptance from Texas Tech on 12/15 and now it's 12/18....
 
mine is still 12/1...I am still holding onto hope for UTSW...but I think I am going to have to get lucky in the match

I got emails for UTMB, TAMU, and TCOM. Regular mail for UTSA...
 
I think I figured out what my LMFU changed for 12/19... I hadn't done anything in a while but TCOM contacted TMDSAS and told them that I had declined their offer. The only reason I know this is because in the accept/decline page, I never had TCOM listed as an acceptance even though I had received the letters and declined their offer (before TMDSAS had the accept/decline page)... now I have TCOM listed as a decline offer on that page and it says that was updated 12/18 and I didn't do it.
 
So, did anyone get an offer from TAMU today yet? Are they still sending out offers or did they already do it this morning?
 
What are your stats, interview date, and interview comments (good/bad experience)?

29R MCAT, 3.3 Undergrad, 3.8 Grad, interviewed 11/9, LMFU 12/11/06, Great interviews

My stats: LMFU 12/11, MCATs: 31P (11V/10B/10P), GPA: 3.84 Undergrad (about to go down), interviewed at TAMU 11/16 (i think...), lots of clinical experience but no research, early graduation, 1st interview was great, 2nd freaked the hell of me (he asked so many hard questions!!)
 
LMFU 12/11, interviewed 11/30, both interviews went well i think, MCAT 32Q (12V/10P/10B), GPA 3.37 undergrad + 4.0 grad, lots of clinicals and research (3 pubs so far).

shrugs. everything looks good, just hoping i'm not wrong.
 
LMFU 12/11, interviewed 8/28, interviews: one very good, one mediocre-mildly bad, MCAT 39R , GPA 3.28

TAMU acceptances were sent by Filo between 12pm and 2pm to those I know who received an email. Mine was sent at 1230...:luck:

this is in reference to last week right? anyone receive any news from today?
 
LMFU 12/11, interviewed 8/24, one great interview and one just good, 34O (10V/11P/13B), GPA 2.74 undergrad (2002) + 3.93 grad, lots of clinical exp., volunteer stuff, family, career, life experiences etc.
 
God, I notice the behaviour pattern of compulsively checking my email every 10 minutes again!
 
30 MCAT (11, 10, 9) Undergrad GPA 3.63 but a lower science GPA of 3.25 thats killing me I think, about 300 volunteer hours at MD. Anderson and a local ER + volunteer teach English classes on weekends for recent immigrants and some shadowing. No real research though and a non science major (poli-sci).

One interview was great the other neutral to bad. I had a woman interviewer that just had alot of unusual touchy feely Oprah questions about what motivates your life, and what would you change about yourself, identify your strengths and weaknesses etc. etc. Thats fair game for some questions but that was pretty much the whole interview; no ethics or healthcare question, no talking about the proffesion today. I'm not much for Oprah and I wasn't much for that interview either so I guess I don't have much a shot but that means one less competitor for you guys.
 
OMG... would i look really desperate if i called them asking them if they already sent out the offers?

What would you say? You're still a young'un so you must be patient. Rash decisions can make you look immature. Then again, it would show interest... that you are watching their moves like a hawk, but generally patience is the virtue in situations like this.

Do not make your moves or show all your cards until the curtain starts to drop. Move too early and they may flank you. But don't move too late or the show will end without you.
 
a friend of mine called and they said that they would send them out either late today or tomorrow because the admissions people are at round the wards in temple all day.
 
I just called also: emails will go out in the morning. We will have until Jan. 8 to reply. One more day 😳

That news is glorious! Here I am with hope dwindling down the drain, staring at the clock since 7AM and refreshing my email once every 5 minutes.....but now I'm re-vivified! There is hope after all!

I just called at 4:20 PM and they told me acceptances have been sent out today and those are the last of them until match day.

🙁

I'm so F'ing sad
 
nooo. i don't know what to think anymore! guess i'm waiting till match day.
 
Yup...that's F'd up, I've waited so long, now I have to wait even longer. Is it Feb. 15th this year?

I don't think they sent them today, we would have heard from someone on SDN. I spoke with Shandala Terry and she specifically said that none went out today, that they would go out in the morning. They extended the reply date to the 8th because it was so late in the week and alot of us are traveling for x-mas.

Also, there is that "Round at Scott & White" thing today, all day. I would think that most of the admission staff, certainly Filo would be there recruiting. I am pretty sure that was from 8:00 'til late in the afternoon + the drive = Filo won't be back in time to send emails.

I am going to keep believing that they will come tomorrow - I want one more day of optimism as opposed to the dread of having to wait 3 months.

She said admissions people are actually leaving on Thursday, so either that's the last day they'll be here, or they won't be there tomorrow. Yourmom, you want to give them a call? You don't have to give them your name...

maybe they wrote the emails today but scheduled the messages to be sent out in the morning. they can do that, right?

My DOB hasn't changed since i applied!!!! It's been 101880 forever!

I was so blissfully ignorant before SDN. THanks to SDN for all the added stress!
 
First, I would be surprised if TAMU e-mails went out and nobody got on SDN to do the e-parade acceptance dance. Seems doubtful. Maybe the snail mail went out today and the e-mails tommorow? Does anyone know anyone that got a TAMU accept today? If not then I'm guessing tommorow is the last round.

Speaking of lightening the mood at least now I can list "Time Person of the Year" on all my update/interest letters. 👎

I don't know if anyone has heard anything else with UTSW, but Wes Norred told me like 2 weeks ago that no more acceptances would go out until problably after the match. I didn't think there were supposed to be any smaller batches going out. Things seem to change rather quickly, though.
 
Got an email today about a UT-H interview on Jan 5th. Man, talk about clutch.

Yeah, it's good news to hear Houston is still working. Has anyone been accepted to UT-H recently?? It's my only hope...
