Ah man, I can only imagine. I would probably size every interviewee to see if they're taking my spot and I would start hating them for no apparant reason. haha, just kidding.

I'm in houston too, I work off of 59 and Kirby, 5 min from the medical center. If you guys even want extra company for lunch holla. I'm fasting now though, until around Oct 10th, anytime after that would be groovy!
 
What are the evaluations that you fill out at UT-Houston? Do you fill them out anonymously? I'm just curious since I haven't been invited yet.
 
I have interviewed at UTMB, SA, and have one coming up at Tech, but have not heard from UTH or UTSW. Is it unlikely at this point to hear back from them when my application was in prior to people who have already received interviews?

From what I heard from Dr. Kellaway at UTH when she came to UT in Feb., the last week of Sept (i.e. right now), they expect to get 1000 applications alone. Their admissions office is crazy right now. I literally just got my interview yesterday and I've been complete for 2 months there!

I'd be worried around the middle of October when apps should all be in and they are only shifting through what they have. Keep your hopes up!
 
Thank God for halo 3. Now my mind is off my interviews, or lack there of, and I can relax and not sit here all day thinking about my situation. Anyone else in here playing hard core now?

Haha whatever you want man! Did anyone hear from UTMB today? With all the baylor invites yesterday i thought today was going to be full of interviews from them.
 
LMFU 09/19. Just realized it today. Without a doubt it means I've been accepted to every school in the US and five Canadian schools.

Well, I expected my RCW to change (which did on 9/13). Other than that, no, I really can't think of a reason why it would've changed.
 
yeah my rcw was updated about a week before my last lmfu change, and I havent heard any thing since (over a month ago). I think there is just a delay between them updating work and updating the main file. not to be too much of a buzzkill, cause it could be something more.

Hey guys i got an email today for an interview for oct 13 from ut southwestern. I didn't expect it at all because i have not yet completed my secondary application yet. does this happen alot?

It's probably because you have a 4.0. 👍

Anyways, it's to your advantage to finish that secondary. Have it done before the interview because your interviewer may want to look at it. Also, when they have their admissions meeting the Thursday following your interview, I'm quite certain that they will know whether or not you finished your secondary.

Good luck at your interview! UTSW is a fantastic medical school.
 
i didnt receive the letter. i just emailed one of deans thanking him for visiting my school and telling him that i am very interested in the program, etc etc. he simply replied that the committee has decided not to offer me an interview. so it is basically a rejection, but not an official rejection letter.

Absolutely! 🙂 I now have like 4 people to meet for lunch sometime while I work here. And ohhh, we could swing by her office together sometime! :laugh: I pass the office every morning and look at it longingly...😉 I might head down there later this week to make sure they are aware of my new job here. 👍

Jeez, that sucks. Was it a med school in texas? I'm assuming so. . .I'm surprised by such a response though. I thought med schools first priority was to keep leading us on.

I'd prefer they tell me point blank so you can face the facts and prepare for next cycle.
 
I was wondering as far secondaries go (yes still filling them out, the week before they are do) is it ok to say you are not interested in primary care? In particular I was wondering for tech? While I would never completely rule anything out, there are a couple areas I am really drawn to. Also when talking to a student at UTMB she said during her interview she said she was interested in primary care even though this was far from true....I was just wondering poeple's thought on this
