tx, I was able to log onto UTSW but I also still have interviewed on my Tech page but I ranked UTSW #1..so I'm not sure what that means but I'll leave to yall to find out..I just don't have that type of brain power at this stage in the game

I still think there's something to the "batch" theory in terms of our changing LMFU's, but I think it has nothing to do with the match.

Any thoughts?

BTW, is there anyone on here who was not validated and did NOT have a date change on or after 1/15?

Okay, you guys are gonna think I'm really strange, but I was actually a little *RELIEVED* when I couldn't log onto the UTSW page earlier this morning. True, I ranked it number 1, but over the past few weeks, I have come to realize that I'd probably be a better fit at UTMB or UTHSCSA (I need a more chill environment). I think that my average MCAT score (combined with the fact that I'm Asian, hint: should have 34 MCAT or above) kept me out of UTSW. It seems that having a 4.0 GPA did not guarantee me (or anyone for that matter) a spot at UTSW. Yes, I am a little disappointed, as I worked hard to double major and keep a perfect GPA, but I've realized that school is not everything, competition is not everything. After the match (I hope that I match SOMEWHERE!), I plan to relax a little and take some Yoga/Aerobics classes--all the things I wish I would have done when I was too busy trying to make top grades in Orgo and Physics (which I did!). So, to sum up, congrats to those of you who were accepted to UTSW! Like my dad keeps telling me, things always work out for the best--what's meant to be is meant to be. Okay, I gotta get ready for school....I'm gonna try and stay sane and moderately happy this weekend =)

i gotta agree with you about the UTSW, that asians with 34 have a shot. cause i know at least two people/maybe 3 who have gotten an interview there with both GPA and MCAT lower than mine and both of my GPA and MCAT are lower than yours. so it's not right. btw, i am asian and the other people about whom i am talking about are not. i really like SW cause i have been there before, but it is what it is and i'm just gonna move on. hoefully i'll match some where else in tx, maybe UTH or UTMB, i really like both the schools. but ultamately i blame myself and no one else, b/c maybe if i did have those scores then they would have picked me, so i should have worked even harder and not make excuses. i am just waiting for match day so i can be happy whereever i maybe.

I was able to log in with my name and birth date and get a EUID and a UNTID from the students website at TCOM😀 ...however I didn't have a "pin" so it would not let me in and said I was a intruder. 😱 When I tried to login with a fake name it said it could not find me in the records. TCOM is my second choice so if anyone else applied...try and see if you can do the same...just curious

I was able to log in and also get a EUID and a UNTID but I could not activate my EUID?

I just think this means you are in the system because you filled out the online secondary application.

But here's to hoping for good things! 👍

You didn't offend me, I'm just really disappointed. My boyfriend has a job at a big company that only has offices in Houston and Dallas. He said he'd transfer to Dallas if I got into UTSW and he wanted me to try to go to Baylor or UTH. I haven't gotten interviews at either, so UTSW was my only hope if we were to be in the same city. I don't really care about UTSW itself, I just want to be with him.

First I just wanted to offer my congratulations to those who can log onto SW...I think we all can be pretty sure what this means.

Second, I also can't log in, and my status never changed from interviewed, so I'm pretty sure what this means as well. I've had a good cry over the past week, but I actually am thankful that I got this heads up and had time to emotionally prepare myself for this entire match process. My next two in rank are UTH and UTHSCSA, and I would be more than damned happy at either of the places 😍 . Now that I have gotten over not matching my #1, I've actually realized how friggin excited I am about medical school back in Texas (of course, unless I don't match anywhere, but I'm going to save beginning that breakdown for after the match 😉) wherever it may be.

I just received my rejection letter from A&M (interviewed early Sept.) and it was dated February 1. I also ranked them 3rd out of three.

So, now it is down to my top two....these last three days are going to be killer but I am going to burn off some of this stress by climbing on Saturday.

yeah i was able to do the same...i clicked on that link that said 'what is an EUID" and it had written a lot of stuff including "The EUID identities stored on our LDAP server are used as Login Names (and the associated UNT IDs for passwords) for WebCT accounts, access to the Library CD-ROMs, and for the Remedy Action Request System."

...so it might be a good sign; i ranked them as my top choice...anyways anyone rank TCOM last or real low and can log in (which possibly would mean that it just means they gave one of these ID's to everyone)? the link is:

Tech status is blank. Blank is good right? Please say yes.

...or mabye it means that you're on their "Accepted" list (as opposed to "Rejected"), even thought you may match higher...or it may mean nothing, lol...so much for all these "theories"...

That's very strange. They aren't supposed to notify you in advance if you interviewed. What is the postmark date on the letter?

Don't you guys wish we could call the schools and ask if we got in or not? They obviously already know and are sending out letters to interviewees before the Match. It kind of defeats the purpose of setting the date to Feb. 1 if they keep doing stuff like this.
