Ok, I think if you can log into the UNTHSC (TCOM) EIS page (https://ams.unt.edu/whatsmyeuid.php) and get your EUID that mean's that you've been accepted there, like you're on their accepted list even though you may match at a higher pick. I think this is the case because I looked at their Frequently Asked Questions portion for the EUID, and it said the following:

"All currently enrolled students and newly accepted students to UNTHSC will be assigned an EUID (UNTS Enterprise User ID)."

looks like we've at least cracked TCOM...

I Hope so! It would make sense..whay else would we get an authentic EUID and an UNT ID...I feel like a big kig snooping around the Chistmas tree before Christmas...shaking the presents..peeling back the paper to see try to see what's inside... 🙂 I just want to het into Houston or TCOM so bad

Okay, you guys are gonna think I'm really strange, but I was actually a little *RELIEVED* when I couldn't log onto the UTSW page earlier this morning. True, I ranked it number 1, but over the past few weeks, I have come to realize that I'd probably be a better fit at UTMB or UTHSCSA (I need a more chill environment). I

I know how you feel on that one. For years UTSW had been my dream school, causing me to make many academic choices with them in mind. Alas, UTSW was the only school I applied to that snubbed me for an interview. Since then, I realized that UTMB is where I really want to go. I feel that UTMB is the perfect place for me, and I dont have the slightest disappointment that I am not in the running for UTSW.

That said, where are the UTMB theories? We've already heard UTSW and Tech. I guess there isn't much to work with since they have no login page.

UTMB has that e-connect thing. I was able to log into it a long long time ago, then I couldn't remember the default password thing, and haven't logged in for 5 months. It had something about application status, but I don't know if they nixed it this year or what. Anybody know anything about e-connect?

yeah but "everyone" equals like only 5 people so far, and the the web site clearly says it in writing that if you can log-in to the UNT EUID that you're either a current student or a newly accepted student...you can't get much clearer than that...in fact that's the most clearest thing I've seen among all these different "theories"!

Ahh....good times....I try to read while and post in the 2 minutes here or there for experiments but Im sure we all do 👍 . I work in molecular pathology in the main hospital building.

no.......i can access the TCOM site and my LMFU is still 1/10/05.......

I hope that you're right. But a little voice keeps saying that the FAQ is the way that it's supposed to work, not how it actually does.

So I put tech as my number one school(my only interview) what happens if someone else puts it as their last school or so? Can they have preference over me if they get rejected from their other school?

They only have preference over you if the school ranks them higher on THEIR list than they ranked you.

If so, please take into account this year's early match results and I challenge any texas school to match up to this (and any other school in the country as well).

How do you like them beans??? If you want a surgical subspecialty, no place compares to Baylor!!

If so, please take into account this year's early match results and I challenge any texas school to match up to this (and any other school in the country as well).

Early match results; where Baylor students matched in the last few weeks (keep in mind that most of these are ultra competitive and difficult to get even a few students in).

Opthalmology (can you say 13/13 students- nearly impossible at any other school to match 13 students into ophthalmology):

UT Southwestern has 3 students match to Neurosurgery, which is considered the most competitive of all residencies.

I don't know how anyone can use your match results as a comparison...you do well on your USMLE and rank high in your class at any of the Texas schools or Baylor and you're going to get your speciality choice...

I can't really comment though cause I didn't get a baylor invite 😉

the 2 that didn't match didn't deserve to match to the places they applied (according to 4th years i know)

look at any texas school - they all match VERY well into each specialty. you might not be going to the #1 residency in the nation but you can definitely match to the field you want in a solid program.

BTW, rereading my post...it doesn't sound like I intended it. "Didn't even San Antonio match..." but I love San Antonio and that's where I want to go so...I was just trying to point out how well UT schools match up against Baylor when it comes to the match.

I did notice this verbiage on the activate step as I tried to proceed:

Activate a UNT System Internet Account - Enter PIN

Please enter your EUID account activation PIN. If you are a student applicant, you should have received this PIN at the E-Mail address specified on your application. If you did not specify an E-Mail address, you should have received this by Postal mail at your home address. Please contact the appropriate admissions office if you have not received a PIN.

I actually ranked TCOM 2 of 2 and got an id. Also, a freind of mine who ranked them 5 of 5 was also able to get an id. Personally, I think it just might be everyone who interviewed or filled out a secondary, but not completely sure.
