Has anyone else seen Body Worlds? It's this traveling museum exhibit with these cadavers that have been preserved by "plastination" and then they remove certain parts to show you things...like one guy only has his blood vessels, or a cross section of a pregnant woman...personally I think some of these people could have made better use of their tissues and organs by donating them, but it was still pretty cool...

I read about it in TIME, pretty cool. Is it coming to TX?

With so many of the applicants working in research/healtcare, I wonder how many millions of $$$ are lost every year due to match/acceptance/interview ADD?

Hmmm....I did a lit search earlier. Caught up on some of my patients. Oh yeah, and made a to-do list.

Mostly I've been camping out on SDN and IM-ing my friends.

I get irritated because they are so rude to applicants when you call or e-mail. BTW, anyone notice on the page that explains the match, they used the wrong word.

To TMDSAS: Get your sh-- straight. It's ensure, not insure!

Speaking of wine, I watched "Sideways" this weekend. Very funny movie, learned a bit about wines too...like Cabarnet grapes are sturdy, they last thru' anything, whereas Merlot grapes need special care and attention. Crazy wine-snobs.
I cannot stop reading this thread. I have a spanish test tomorrow. I really should go and study.

I like the Sony VAIO and was thinking about that but I wanted to get people's opinions about different laptops. I don't like Gateways cause that was my 1st laptop and it broke right after the warranty expired and my boss at work has a Dell but he always has problems with it. Any help would be great!!!

i made the switch to apple ibook (after going through many dells) and it is the greatest thing ever. Thinking about a powerbook for med school though.

and i stand corrected....we need 1 post/3 minutes. 😀 COME ON!!

i love my dell inspiron

that's the kind of laptop my boss has and while I think the laptop is great when it is working I have issues with dell customer service. My boss seems to think that since i am an elecetrical engineering I can fix his laptop when it breaks down. I've been at this job for ~8 months and his laptop has broken down 4 times and each time I had to deal with customer service they were rude and unhelpful until I asked to speak to someone else. I currently have an older dell laptop which has been pretty reliable so I'm not sure what to make of it. Guess there is always a bad apple (or computer) in the bunch and my boss just happened to be the lucky one who got it.
