Getting back to the pre-Feb. 1st Forecasting, I may have found a way to see if you got into Texas Tech's medical school. This will only work if you are a current Texas Tech student. Point your browser to http://www.ttuhsc.edu and click on current students, then webct. Once there use your eraider name and password to attempt to log on. We have had other Tech students try to log on to this webct and they cannot. Only me and another friend have had success, and we had Tech ranked in the one of the top two spots. If you meet these criteria share your experiences so that we might prove or disprove this theory.

I just got back from "getting the business" from old folks at my job and I checked my email and found out that I've been invited for an interview at UW!!!!!!! I'm from alaska orginally and always wanted to go to med school there but thought I was SOL since I moved to Texas three years ago (Alaska residents get in-state tuition at UW through the WWAMI program). It's almost 1am and I'm so bloody excited, yet I have no one to share this news with due to the time, except for you folks. KICK ASS

Just realized that because of the European time difference, I am going to have to wait until 7:00 Tues morning before I find out about the match! At least I won't have to stay up late hovering over the computer and then loosing sleep over extreme joy or sorrow.

That reminds me. Remember folks, it's not so much about matching to a Texas school as much as it is vying for a spot to sit next to me in lecture hall at UTHSCSA. Hey, when we are in the middle of an epic renal physiology presentation and our energy and stamina are getting low, you will love the fact that I just may have an extra sloppy PB&J sandwich in my backpack.

Mine works OK too. Maybe they took down the server to resolve database issues. Don't they usually do this kind of stuff at night anyway?

This is my take all: The match has just been run. Especially since somebody mentioned recently that they saw the following message from TMDSAS:
"Our database is currently not active, please try later". To me that suggests that they were probably updating everybody's profile after the match. My suspicion is that everybody will see a change in their master file update to 1/27/05, regardless of whether they matched or not. Obviously everybody's status changes (to matched or not matched) once the match process is complete. I also remember an assistant dean of admissions mention that TMDSAS provides the match results to school A COUPLE OF DAYS ahead of time so that they can post that information on the school site and send letters out. There is not reason for TMDSAS to run the match, say on the 16th, and withhold that information from the school until now. My theory is that TMDSAS has just finished the match process and will now provide this information to the schools soon. Again this is just what I think has happened. What do you guys think?

oh, I see what you were saying. I was laying there first and then they decided to get all the chicks to lay down and take a group shot. thats why I have a single shot of me too.

the real f-ed up thing is the 2nd in command in the building (some colonel or other) was the one taking the pick. suprisingly enough he later got demoted when he tried to get his gf the secretary or something a job over a more qualified URM.

I guess that makes sense, if everyone has an update today. Last year the dates were all staggered, and weren't there three people on sdn who's date changed the week before Feb 1, and they didn't match? Maybe your theory will be proven right once more people post their LMFU.

Maybe that's a good thing or at the least...a neutral thing, maybe the LMFU really does have nothing to do with the match.

I realized what you were saying. That is one of the reasons all the guys are laughing because of who in the district was initiating the group shot, one of the very last people who should have been.

My LMFU is still at 1/14 too, but I was validated 1/22.
