I just wanted to tell everyone that it's not the end of the world if you don't match initially - I didn't match last year. Yes, it was pretty miserable at first. Yes, I did have serious doubts about my ability to become a physician. Yes, at one point I even considered taking the LSAT. Thank God it wasn't a serious consideration 😳

But I did get in...and I couldn't be happier now. So keep your chin up 🙂

Thank you for your input! 🙂 How many interviews did you have and were you accepted off of a wait list? That really makes me feel A WHOLE LOT BETTER!!

It seems like a lot of pressure is being put on us....everybody at school keeps asking "So have you heard yet?" and then they say "Oh! You have NOTHING to worry about!". Yeah right! My organic prof from 2 yrs ago wants me to email him when I find out at midnight!!!

I would do this whole process all over again if I don't get accepted this year, but I just don't want to go to school the next day or write in an email to say that I didn't match. I feel like everybody expects that everything will work out for me since it always has....I've never failed at anything and for some reason I feel like it's my turn to fail now.

Ok...maybe I'm just freaking out because we have 25 hours to go. Please excuse my whining. I really should go to bed now!

Yep, you can only list 6, per transaction. So after you've sent your first batch and its been processed, you can create a new transaction (with all the information already filled out) and simply add some more schools! Once your first batch is processed, it will be more clear what I'm talking about (you'll see a transaction ID from the first batch and there will be room below for more).

You can also call FAFSA for more info--I believe their phone lines are open 24/7 (not sure). They were extremely helpful when I called!

PS. I talked to a friend at UTSW and she doesn't think they post the match list at the school tomorrow. I also asked her about logging into the swmed website, and that the same thing happened last year. She found a different page and was able to log in ahead of schedule. She was accepted, so I hope it's a good sign!

Just growing pains! It is through contact lens wear that you learn the beautiful art of blinking and rolling your eyes like you're crazy (to minimize touching your eyeball). TRUST ME!!! It works!

We are gonna have a pre-match get-together for some food and drinks so we don't drive ourselves crazy sitting in front of the computer. Then we're going home to our respective computers to find the results, and finally, to a bar for either a celebration or cry-fest--either way, we're getting drunk!

It has nothing to do with the match...some people have found out that they have *probably* matched to UTSW by the ability to log in to the MS 0 page and their dates are all different....some before 1/15 and some after 1/15. It can't possibly have anything to do with the match! 🙂

I'm taking time to clear my head, just enjoy the day. I'm also writing some thank-you emails to the lady who runs my college's Health Professions Office and some profs who wrote recommendations for me.
