I matched to San Antonio. I am drinking Corona's.
 
I remember posting to this forum 3 years ago asking what it would take for me to go to med school... Do I have what it takes? Am I too old? etc... This has been a very helpful site and I hope to see some of you in the fall.

If we matched a school a bit down on our lists (still very happy 😀 ), what is the likelihood that we will be moved up? Do the schools all send out letters of acceptance/hold/rejection? I am imagining that there will be a bit of a shuffle over the next few weeks.

I also want to know this. I matched with the last school on my list. I think we have like a week or 2 to accept our match or not. If not, I think we are waitlisted?

Yep, can't say as I blame them. I'll have to wait until the weekend. Here is what I found on the TMDSAS site.
"An applicant who received an offer of acceptance on February 1 may later receive an offer of acceptance from a school ranked higher if an opening occurs and the applicant is on that school's alternate list. Should that occur, the applicant must withdraw the acceptance from the first school if he/she wishes to accept the later offer. The application is not automatically withdrawn from the school to which he/she was first matched. To retain the initial offer received, the applicant must decline the later offer. This decision must be made and transmitted to the schools no later than two weeks after receiving the later offer."

Thanks so much, that helps a lot. I'll call all of the schools tomorrow morning to see whether or not I've been waitlisted. Well I gotta work on this lab report now. I'll post here or in a waitlist thread if there are any new developments.
