I was wondering if anyone sent a thank you letter after your home SubI. PD? Chair? Both? Handwritten or email?

If relevant, this is for a surgical subspecialty.

People like you are what makes aways/Sub-Is insufferable. Just show up and do you work, skip the extra ass kissing.

I'd thank the program director, chair, and any other faculty that really connected with you.

Make it short
Dont handwrite. Comes off as strange to most, while only a select few like it. Weighing pros vs cons I'd say no handwritten notes. Only email

Kissing ass is extremely important in life. The difference is how you do it. Subtlety is important. Otherwise you will be labeled a brown noser.
