I realized my thank you note emails for interviews have been pretty long. I usually point out some things we talked about and then also reiterate my interest in the school (not necessarily related to the interview per say). I’m not sure if I’m being neurotic but is this seen as too much/ annoying?

Unless your emails were weird and awkward its probably fine. I have often been told evaluations are sometimes submitted the day of. Send it to be nice, don't make it like a pitch to the school. A little detail to jog their memory of who you are might be okay?

The three things you have control over in this process are your AMCAS, secondaries, and interview. I know that is hard to hear. i used to waste so much time stressing over LOIs and "perfectly worded" thank you notes. None of it was well spent, but I was desperate enough to think mentioning how I enjoyed our discussion about a movie we liked was going to push me in.

If it was less than a typed page, you're fine. What do YOU mean by "pretty long"?

Are thank you notes absolutely necessary?

I did thank you email for my first interview, forgot on my second, was accepted to both. I don't think it will be viewed negatively if you Don't send one

One place actually sent me a thank you note after I interviewed. I’m a strong believer in thank you notes though
