Here working. I've seen lots of frequent fliers. The percocet runs out a lot faster when you've got to share with relatives.

Just got home... was actually only high-acuity fun stuff until the PFBS started to roll in.

(That would be Post-Football BS)

Off the top of my head: one VT with shock x2, one basilar skull fx/ATV crash, one floor code, one hip fx, a CHFer, some diverticulitis, a few kids with fevers, and a very hypertensive tachypnic pregnant lady. (Not preE or PE thankfully, but still got the workup and shipped to OB). Heck, I didn't send anyone home until I was 6-7 hours into my shift!

But I'm glad to be home, feasting on non-hospital turkey with a glass (or 2) of chilled Riesling. And I'm not getting up in 3 hours to go shopping, either!

I had one pt with diverticulitis, too! Weird position - proximal transverse colon (she had epigastric pain).

One 86 y/o uroseptic, and a lady with a weird swelling of her SCM on the R. Oh, and a Filipina lady who was "dizzy" (as I've been told, all Filipinos in Hawai'i are "dizzy").

All the Filipina's in Guam are "dizzy" too.

I had a 30 year old, two kids in tow, with 1 day viral pharyngitis. CC: doc you gotta fix my sore throat so I can eat!

i worked up in our triage. wasn't too bad except i would've never imagined how many people were assaulted by family members on thanksgiving. I had no fewer than 4 or 5 that I distinctly remember.

We were all MVCs and abdominal pain. Except for the 25 weeker in active labor and the shoulder fx/dislocation that came in during the hour I had to stay over to cover for the fact that we were down a doc. The shoulder ended up being easier to put in then I expected.
