The best time period to take the MCAT?

What is the best time to take the MCAT in my pre-med career? Is it the summer after the sophomore year(May/June 2008), Fall of Junior year(Aug/sept 2008) or Spring of Junior year (Jan 09) keeping in mind that I would matriculate in May 2010...... Thanks

I actually took one of the January tests so I could use Christmas break for 100% dedicated MCAT studying. And being able to focus on MCAT stuff during those first few weeks of school when classes haven't really gotten hard is nice too.
