lol, believe me once you get into medicine you'll forget all about the MCAT whether you loved it or hated it. so yes it may be a once in a lifetime experience, but a footnote at that (Well unless I guess you're writting it for the 6th time then getting a good score would be awesome)

Correct me if i'm wrong. I took the Aug 04 MCAT and I remember days before the scores were released, we did see a message on Thx telling us when the scores will come out. I think you guys are getting worried too early.

btw..rumors have it, the april 05 MCAT had one of the most generous curves in years. so relax, you probably did better than you expected.

Please don't toy with the fragile minds of MCAT test takers. If you do have a source for your statement please enlighten us all, but when it comes to any news about recent MCAT test and curves this thread could turn nasty

while i appreciate the suggestion to relax, please don't make baseless statements. there is no way anyone could have information about what kind of curve is applied to these raw scores. you're just inflating the hopes of already paranoid people. congratulations, buddy.

Well, there are various ways for him to have that information. He might know someone that is incharge of scoring it. I doubt he would reveal his sources on here anyway. Im not saying that he is telling the truth, its not impossible only a bit improbable.

Also, thanks for the inside info. People here are so crazy defensive and paranoid, sometimes. But it is our nature, I suppose. Personally I like to collect every tid-bit of info, even those that are "suspect", and give it some fair consideration before discarding it or otherwise ignoring it.

The berkley review. One of the big 4 MCAT review company's that are reliable. They are based in Cali and only really available to Cali residents.

My summer class starts June 13th and I just know I'm going to be totally unfocused until I get the scores. And then I will finally know for certain whether I'm a serious candidate this cycle or if I've got to regroup and dig in for August (oh, I can hardly even contemplate the prospect).

One thing's for certain -- I'll be haunting this thread until the moment is here!

The message should start changing as next week approaches.

When will I receive my scores from the MCAT?

AAMC and the MCAT Program Office will use all available and reasonable means to mail scores by first-class mail to examinees approximately 60 days after each test date. Scores will be available in the Online Testing History system at that time.

Ick, last night i dreamt that my friend and i received our scores in the same envelope, and we were fighting over to get our scores first. When i looked at my score sheet, it said, "congratulations, you have done really well on organic chemistry," and so i was really excited. Then when i turned the page over, it said that i had a D+ on the other sections. So when i looked at my composite score, it was a 29. But when i looked again, it was a 28, then a 26, and then a damn 19. 🙁 🙁

Just check once a day whether AAMC has an indication of the day its coming out and let it be done with. Don't drive yourself over the edge with it. Last time I did that and it was worthless. What you get is what you've gotten. Its over with. Before I understood your side. But now I'm beginning to see where that one poster from earlier was coming from when they said to stop worrying about it. You are just going to increase your blood pressure more and be more stressed out. Read a book. Go out with friends. If you have classes do your homework or studying. Go worry about other things and time will fly faster.

Its most likely going to be out on the 14th or 15th, because last August it came out 59 days after the test, which would be the 14th. Just keep that in mind. you'll know when it is out. They'll have something on AAMC stating it.

Now I'm going to go because this thread is just getting to be crazy.

Ya to pass the time and not think about it I've been reading some great books ("House of God" by S. Shem, and "Gifted Hands" by B. Carlson) and also I recently got my hands on a gem of a video game (Zelda: the Minish Cap).

So have fun! relax! check aamc for some sign, but do not fear. Exactly, the test is done, your score has already been figured out... like anxious parents we wait for the new-born babies to be delivered, but what's a few more days after all this time we've put in stock? No worries, really. 🙂
