Back in october '03 the scores actually came out on THx at about 10PM the night before the official release date, so you never know. 👍

By the way guys, I closed the excess June 16th threads and made the one with the most posts a sticky at the top of the forum so that it'd be easier to find and you guys wouldn't have to read through 3 threads on the same topic.

Most people use it when they are trying to increase their posts to a new mark, like 100+ or 500+ etc. It's easier than typing out a response, and it gets the job done faster. I need to use some of those myself!

so you would know where you stand 8 hours before, as oppose to if they were to post it on the 16th at 6.00 am. Relax, knowing a couple of hours or even days before does not change a goddamnthing. If you have to take it again, you do, if not then thursday night is your personal tequila night, take friends out for shots and hava a good time.

yuck, i had my first mcat dream in a long while last night.

it came in the mail, the envelope was --for some unknown reason-- semi-transparent, and I could see the scores through it.

R 2 35 12 13 6 2

and i began to freak cause i thought the 35 was just the code for the test, and that i had made some weird combination of 12, 13, 6 or 13, 6, 2

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! <screams>

Our exam is already graded by now. I'm not going to check the score until at night. Then I will know if I have to cry myself to sleep or I have to party till I sleep. But, the wait is so agonizing. T-minus 5 days.

Yah but I would rather be upset the night before I need to go into the lab and class, then dejected early in the morning during class or during research time when I'm running an HPLC, if my scores aren't what I want them to be. That way it won't ruin my day as badly if it isn't good.

I'll pull up a chair and join you on this all-night vigil 🙂 I check the THx every 10 hours, but I check SDN even more frequently, because SDN is full of people who check THx, so it's more efficient to check multiple people who check THx rather than check THx itself...

On another note, I had a dream last night that I was applying to UVa's SOM and that I got in, and I was so ecstatic in my dream that I think I might have been yelling out in my sleep. I didn't see anything about a MCAT score, though, so no premonitions in that arena yet.

Well, I'll see you all in a coffee-stained frenzy of nervous chattering teeth on Wednesday night! 😀

ya I think we're all getting pretty nervous and restless. I don't even know what to do with my time... I'm already crazy as it is, so I guess I'm actually getting sane, which makes sense because everything seems so boring now whereas before I used to marvel at the clicking sound my pen makes and how shiny it is and how the ink tastes like burning...

only 5 (or perhaps 4, I suppose) days left to go! *taps foot like an excited dog awaiting fallen scraps at the dinner table.*

aww shucks, thanks for the sentiment mousey! there is a certain comraderie (sp?) to this whole thing. I look forward to coming here and chatting it up with future test takers! although we come from a pre-computer age and our archaic paper administrations cannot exactly compare to the new test format... oh well at the very least we'll be able to say, "at least your test isn't 8 hours long!!!" 😛

what i'm worried about is that it will come out in the middle of the day on thursday, which means that i'll be at work at a big conference....

I think directly looking at the screen can be an emotionally scarring experience.

I just put together an almost identical breakdown last night! 😎
Trying to keep some perspective, however, I am NOT going to be upset with a score <35. I will certainly feel disappointed because it would be below what my practice tests told me I can do. BUT, I will remember that it is still a very good score that many/most would be estatic to see on test day, and *most importantly* one that will get me into med school. 👍

My wording was < 35: a bit disappointed, 35-36: content/pleased, 37-38: Rather Happy, 39+: Ecstatic

Is anyone going to get drunk before checking scores? Like a preemptive measure? If you do well, you'll probably be celebrating with alcohol anyway. And if you do poorly, you'll want to drink away the misery. So drinking beforehand has you covered in 2 out of 3 scenarios. 👍
