Do PD's disregard ours to the same extent as our US allo counterparts given that there is (from what I hear) a certain degree of bias against us? I'm in preclinicals and am studying my balls off for mediocre grades, so I guess this is one of those middle of the night stress out threads because I do realize step I, clinical grades, LOR come into play. But any high level input is appreciated ....njbmd or aProgDirector or residents who help with the residency interview process. Thank you. Now I shall go poop and sleep.

at my program, your preclinical grades are treated the same whether you're at a DO school, a US MD school, or foreign school. It's just one of many factors used in deciding who to interview and eventually the rank list

I have had one interviewer question my preclinical grades stating that my boards were much better comparatively. I think they can hold you back if the residency has a predetermined cut off for GPA.
