I have had a migraine since 6 AM this morning and it is still here. 🙁 Spent most of the day in bed but was able to get up to go to a musical this evening that I had already bought a ticket to. Still have a a headache and.. would someone shut the pollen machines off on the trees outside, please? Worst seasonal allergies. Ever.

Surprised you were able to even get up with a migraine. When I get them, they knock me out for the entire day. I get the sensitivity to light, the aura (seriously freaked out when this happened the first time I got a migraine), and the nausea/vomiting. I can't function at all when they occur, and luckily they haven't occurred in years so **knocks on wood**

hope you feel better though
 
Never had a migraine so I can't fully empathize, but I feel your pain and am trying wholeheartedly to make it up with allergies. My eyes keep watering and itching, my nose won't stop running and my throat is drier than a prune in Nevada. Naturally I am in the perfect state for writing papers.

I'm just studying for ecology and evolution exam that I have on Tuesday while my laundry finishes drying.

Anyone have problems studying for bs classes?

I have two tests tomorrow in my two GPA booster classes and I can't focus for the life of me. If I have an upcoming o-chem test, I can study for hours on end no problem.

Feel like I'm gonna bomb them hah.

How's Smallville lately (last season?) Haven't watched the last 2 seasons but I was very loyal at one point.

Nice-family guy is hilarious. As for Smallville, I'm watching it from the beginning (I used to be loyal too, dropped off watching, but now I'm super bored so I started over) so I don't know about the last season. I'm sure I'll post something when I do get there though!

Does anyone else find it weird that when they try to sit and read/study their MCAT physics, they start to fall asleep but as soon as they do something else like say, post on SDN, they all of a sudden have energy to spare?

Or is it just me?

Sunday night was writing bio lab report
Monday night was taking bio quiz online and writing 10 page lit review
Tonight studying face off for bio exam tomorrow
Tomorrow night writing physics lab report

Please make it stop....

Thanks, SilentSoldier. I should note that getting up and leaving the house required two doses of Imitrex. 🙂 And I still felt pretty crummy.

Yeah, I have had the worst allergies ever this spring. I had the misery of allergies on top of the migraine. In fact, I think the allergies triggered it. 🙁

I haven't been on Late Night much lately because my job has been requiring that I get in earlier. I work in research and mostly the subjects don't want early AM appointments so it allowed me to go in to work late and stay late. I am a night owl so this worked well. This month they added fasting labs to the protocol and most subjects have to come in early now. Not very happy about that but it is good because I need to get used to a more "normal" schedule when school starts in three months.

Supposedly, the light from electronics -computers! - is really great at shutting down melatonin production and keeping you up. On nights I have to go to bed "early" I have been trying to read books/magazines and stay away from the computer after 10 PM.
 
Just finished my last bit of studying for this Saturday's MCAT :scared:

Yeah, it's hard to do anything that doesn't mess up the ideal sleeptime environment. During our sleep lecture the sleep specialist gave us a mile long list of things not to do before bed.

And one of those things was to have a set bedtime and wake up time. Which I completely fail at. 🙄

I haven't been on of late, because I spilled less than 1mL of water on my MacBook and now it is dead. 🙁

Luckily I will be able to get a new one this weekend, but I owe my Mom (whom I am borrowing the money from) a lot of money, but it is worth it so I won't be complaining.

Sweeeet! This year will be my first med school halloween so I feel like I should be something classy. I doubt that I will though...I've been wanting to be Snooki for soo long. I got her dance moves and mannerisms down. I'm ready.

I don't think I can pull off being "the situation", Cliff. This is all I got to work with. I also always wanted to be Wonder Woman. That's a less trashy alternative. We shall see.

It's almost 2am and I'm still awake! I usually go down and come up with the sun here...but I'm not tired yet.

I wish there were other late night folk out there to commiserate with, but alas I am alone out in the wilderness of Africa...

...and for some unknown reason, the roosters are already starting to crow. Must be something in the (well) water! :laugh:
