The MCC of blindness in the US: Macular degeneration or diabetic retinopathy?

I'm gonna go with Macular degeneration, but what about diabetic retinopathy?

nah, cataracts by far the mcc worldwide (glaucoma 2nd, trachoma 3rd). in the us, diabetic retinopathy is most common in people below 65, macular degeneration is most common above 65 and glaucoma is the most common cause of blindness in blacks

i have problems with my eyes right now. I need to go to my doctor for pre-check up.
