I will be applying for September 2006 entry: The school I want to attend has a deadline of November 15, 2005 to receive my AMCAS stuff. Assuming I get an interview and secondaries, when would I probably be notified if I was accepted or not? I hear something about May 15 being a final date, but not sure.

This is confusing... If you are applying for September 2006 entry then you start your application process June 2005. The November 15, 2005 deadline is for people applying for September 2005 entry and there is a November 15, 2006 deadline for people applying to September 2006 entry.

Yes, this is correct. Just think of it in terms of the application process taking a year. Also, the November deadline is for AMCAS submission and it is the November preceeding the fall in which you want to enter (i.e. Nov '05 for Sep '06 entry). Secondary deadlines are usually end of January of the same calendar year in which you plan to be admitted (Jan '06 for Sep '06 entry).

Hi there,
May 15th is the day where you may not hold multiple acceptances. You can hold an acceptance and be wait-listed but if you may not hold acceptance to more than one school after May 15th.

Many schools set a November or December deadline for AMCAS materials for students who wish to enter the following the following fall. You need to check the websites or bulletins of each school for more information.

NJBMD...I LOVE your UVA Icon. I'm actually going to be there on Saturady for the big Game v. Miami! I worked for the fball team while I was there, and spent time wih Dr. McCue!!! Actually I saw that you went to GWU. I'm getting my MPH in epidemiology there as we speak (well as I type), mybe I'll be fortunat enough to go back to ch'ville for my MD.
