The most important decision: which Droid tab?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Your little ones are adooooorable! How old are they? Such cuties.

And you look exactly as I pictured you. 😉

Aaww thanks! I kind of like them. They are 8 and 2, 6 years apart to the day.

And you look just like your avatar. You are very pretty! 😉

Why thank you! And further proof that pharmacy really is a small world. We have 2-degrees of separation (if I'm doing my math correctly). I believe you may have been co-residents (?) with my colleagues' "bff". They are UMKC grads!

What do you need the full windows for??
You can always get a keyboard for a tab.

I don't need a full keyboard. The problem is, that despite the 11 in screen, the touch keyboard occupies 2/3 of it. As for full windows, it allows me to run adobe pro for now and I could potentially use it at MRCH should that ever come through for me. Otherwise, I don't use it for much anyhow. I'm considering an android tab of sorts to see if it suits my needs just as well, but who knows. What I have suits me just fine for now. The limitations are just minor annoyances right now. If I had a second go at it, I probably would have saved the cash and gone ipad/nexus.

Tons of tech news sites dropped this rumor today that the 10" Nexus won't be around until "first half" of 13, meaning it could be May or June. And it's still all rumors. I was hoping to pick one up for the holiday season, especially since I've got my inpatient and acute care rotations coming up.

Obviously I can't wait, so what's the current recommendation for a rotation tablet?

Coming out this month or next month, Ipad mini might be an option. I think it will be priced at $299, a reasonable price for a tablet. I'd never recommend a product from Apple if comes out to be over $300.

Speaking of waiting, I am waiting until Xbox 720 or P4 comes out next year. My latest console is PS1 LOL... Excited to see what kind of cool games it can produce ;D

I couldn't wait. So I picked up Asus Transformer TF300 32GB with a keyboard cover.

I'm set.

Really no need to ever get on the computer at home. The only missing piece is photo and video editing tool. Matter of time though.

Why buy an iPad mini when you can pick up a Nexus7 for $199.

So...leadership at my hospital took a bus trip. I'm the only shmuck with a droid phone. Everyone has an iphone... well, I was the only one getting 4G and download speed of 20mb/sec while everyone was around 0.15mb/sec... on the way back, everyone's phone died since no way to charge on the bus. I just popped in my back up battery... oh the envy..:meanie:

Next phone will be Galaxy S3 Mini... 👍

I'd die if I don't have access to a computer at home lol. Probably because I don't have a TV... Laptop = all my entertainment needs

S3 ftw!

Just because I bumped an old thread doesn't mean the title of the thread changed. No crApple please. :meanie:
