Please let me know either by replying to this thread or messaging me directly where you have been accepted or waitlisted for. You are welcome to include POI and/or track, as this is often information other forumites want to know, but it's not necessary if you're worried about anonymity. If you know you are accepting or declining an offer, please let me know that, too. Also let me know how you were notified and the date on which you were notified. And definitely let me know what type of program it is (e.g. clinical, counseling, school, other, and Ph.D. vs. PsyD).

Due to the other thread being abandoned, please respond even if you had already let the creator of the other thread know about a particular acceptance.

***If you don't specify program type, I will assume you mean clinical.***

I just got a call from SUNY Albany from my POI offering me a place. It was my number one choice after the interview this weekend! Plus this is my second time applying. It all paid off! THANK GOD! I am so happy

I received an acceptance email from the admissions coordinator on 3/4 for their PsyD clinical psychology program. I was also waitlisted on 2/27 for Ball State's Counseling Psychology program via email, and I found out today that first offers for Bowling Green's clinical psychology phd program went out (although I was not on that list). Thanks for taking this on I was getting tired of not seeing updates.

Also if anyone has an acceptance from Bowling Green or Ball State if they wouldn't mind PMing me their POI or if they are going to accept or turn down or if they don't know, whatever would be great. Thanks.

Thank you for doing this!!!

The lack of updating on the earlier thread was very annoying - and thanks to the mod. for letting this new thread run and closing the first so that things don't get too confusing.

Yeshiva's PhD (Health Emphasis) should be included on the list. Notices of acceptance went out last week!

What about the combined school/clinical psy d program. I'm going crazy already. I think I'm going to give it another hour or two and call the admissions office. I emailed them late Friday but nobody responded.

Does anyone know if Suffolk has finished making first offers yet?

Acceptance via mass email, received today

Just called admissions. Looks like I'm waitlisted. Not really sure how they do it they said they are still extending offers so I guess we have to wait and see.

just so everyone who is waiting to hear knows, i spoke with dr. sellbom about an hour ago and he told me that karen salekin and brodsky both have extended offers and those people have accepted.

sellbom has extended two offers, and he thinks one is probably going to accept, but doesn't know about the other. there are three people on the waitlist in NO order that he is interested in if one or both do not accept. and he also said that he will be getting brodsky's and salekin's input on the waitlisted people, too, if it comes to that.

hope this helps people!

I am not sure. I interviewed but didn't get an email this past Friday :(... I thought that they said they would be letting applicants know if they were on the waitlist or rejected around that date as well. I guess we just have to keep waiting?

thank you for doing this! my compulsive side was not doing well with the other thread!

Yeah, same here. They did say that which makes me think maybe they haven't finished making first offers yet??

accepted via email from poi 3/4, Clinical psych PhD

Acceptances to Clinical psych programs:

Concordia University (unofficial acceptance 02/05/10, official 03/04/10) via email.
Ryerson University (03/02/10) via email.

Congrats/good luck everyone!

Ferkauf-Yeshiva PhD clinical Health Psychology just sent out some more invites. I guess they aren't done yet. This is taking forever.

Any rejections to Clinical Health? What about wait list? How many so far accepted? Incoming class seems to be about 15.

Could the person who got accepted to Penn State please, please, please let me know which track it was (child or adult)? Thank you!!

Congratulations to whoever received an offer from the University of Delaware! Do you mind telling me how/when you were notified?

Officially wait listed via e-mail. First response from the schools I interviewed at. Not a good way to start but I guess better than a flat out rejection. If anyone is holding spots and not planning on attending please free up spaces :)

Thank you very much for making this thread.
Has anyone heard from Yeshiva/Ferkauf's PsyD in Clinical psych? (not school or health). It seems that no one has heard from this program yet!!!!:scared:

as of 4:30 PM EST, this thread is completely updated with anything that was in the old thread, anything in the new thread up to this point, and any PMs that have been sent to me today.

Reminder that if you PM'd the owner of the previous thread, you still need to PM me as well, as I obviously do not have access to his/her PMs.

see still no word from Scalora yet aye? I emailed him so shouldnt be long now lol

For anyone who has been accepted to Kent State, I would love to know who your POI is, but only if you feel comfortable telling me.

So after checking the other threads it's seems that there is not much info on suffolks's waitlist or rejections. I want to contact the program because the unknown is killing me, but is it too soon?

... I guess that leads to my next question - when is it appropriate to contact a program about your status if you havent heard from them? do you contact your POI or the program admin? is there preference for calling/email?

Best of luck to everyone. Trying to stay positive

Would the person who got the call from American Clinical PhD mind letting me know if it was from DCT or POI? Would it be cool if I PMed you with my POI to see if I've got a shot there? Thanks.

Thanks, PrisonPsych!

I am on the waitlist for University of Minnesota's adult track (received via snail mail last week- to my parent's house- weird???)

And now waitlisted at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville as well... via email on 3/5.

Would those who got offers at georgia state and american mind PM'ing me their POIs? Congrats!

i'd been wondering about suffolk as well. i just checked their website and it said this: "Thank you to all who applied to the Ph.D. program in clinical psychology. We are in the process of sending out offers of admission. Please note that we may continue extending offers over the next 4 to 6 weeks. We will contact all applicants as soon as possible and we will update our webpage admission message once the admissions process is complete. "

maybe that means there's still hope for those of us that haven't heard?

good luck to all!

Was anyone else waitlisted at Syracuse (clinical psych) without an interview? I was and I'm wondering what my chances of acceptance are if I didn't interview.

Just got accepted to John F. Kennedy via phone. :p

Has anyone heard anything from University of South Dakota? Please PM me to let me know if you have.

Do you know how the bowling green acceptances were given (email, mail, or phone)?

I hate to keep asking but has anyone heard from Binghamton yet? I'm anticipating a letter of rejection at this point, but no one has reported being accepted. I just see waitlists and rejections post-interview so far. That has to mean offers have gone out, right? I think I'm e-mailing my POI tomorrow.

I don't know about suffolk specifically, but generally schools offer admissions in rounds, and sometimes offers go out all the way until april 15th, so don't give up hope!

Congrats! Clinical?

yeah! i was kinda freaked out when i got the call because it meant i had to decide where i wanted to go but now i feel about 90% sure i want to be there.

Not for sure but I was told the POI would be calling. I just emailed the admissions coordinator and she said first offers were out.

I am currently on a few waitlists and have an acceptance in hand. I am wondering if I contact the programs where I am waitlisted if they have to tell me where I fall on the alternate list...

Funny that Northwestern Feinberg already gave out an offer. I wonder who was the POI (though I'm not a 100% on how that program works as a whole). I know they had three interview dates (that invitees could choose from), the last is this Friday. Hopefully, it's not a waste of time (i.e., interviewing for someone who already gave out an offer)...

Edit: scratch that. I just remembered that not all professors are interviewing on the same date. That'd make more sense.

just so everyone who is waiting to hear knows, i spoke with dr. sellbom about an hour ago and he told me that karen salekin and brodsky both have extended offers and those people have accepted.

sellbom has extended two offers, and he thinks one is probably going to accept, but doesn't know about the other. there are three people on the waitlist in NO order that he is interested in if one or both do not accept. and he also said that he will be getting brodsky's and salekin's input on the waitlisted people, too, if it comes to that.

hope this helps people!

also waitlisted for psych/law at 'bama per POI email today...

Hi,
I was looking on the old acceptance/waitlist thread that has since been closed. Someone mentioned something called the 3 week rule. I have not heard that term used before so if someone would be so kind as to explain it- I'd appreciate it very much! Thanks!! Good luck everyone who is still waiting to hear from schools or is waitlisted!
