MSPP acceptance to clinical psych...
email saying admission decision is available that directed to the website

I just got a phone call from the professor that interviewed me and was accepted to Hofstra's School-Community Psy D program . After 2 wait lists so far this is my first acceptance. Good luck to all still waiting.

Has ANYONE heard from Wash U? I think it will be about 3 weeks this Friday. My POI said he/she would let me know this week. I know it is only Wednesday, but I'm going crazy. I know someone on grad cafe admissions received a rejection via postal on Monday and I do know someone who received an offer, but from a different lab. Most labs (from what I heard) have not heard back yet. Anyone?

I just got an acceptance phone call from there too. 🙂 Congrats!

Congrats!! Who was it that called? (If you don't mind me asking.. I just know some of the faculty) Yay!!

that is somewhat heartening to hear about yeshiva still making decisions, though i'm not super hopeful. it's my first choice, sigh. BUT--i got an acceptance from MSPP today (congrats to others who also did)...it was via email. so, i noticed that many people are asking questions about widener. i would appreciate it if anyone who sends PMs to people who asked questions on the widener program to forward those responses to me. on my interview date, i don't feel i got a complete enough impression of the school, so i'd like to hear more about what it's like to be a student there--in terms of academics, student cohesion, expense (and debt), the captive internship, and living in the philadelphia area. responses would be GREATLY appreciated as i am strongly considering going there. also, anyone with experience at MSPP, how do you think this program compares to widener and other psyd programs? (i recognize that this is a tough question).

I believe St. John's has sent out their initial offers and are waiting to hear back on students' decisions.

Can I ask where you heard this from? Not to question your sources, but to assuage my fears. 😳

I saw a list of accepted applicants and alternate applicants, although I'm not completely sure if those accepted have been notified yet. The grad secretary had the list up on his computer and was making phone calls, and I made an assumption. I could certainly be wrong!

All I can say for sure is that those that they plan to accept/waitlist have been identified. If offers have not officially been extended, then expect to hear something soon.

Has anyone recently heard from Yeshiva's PsyD clinical program? I tried calling them and got the answering machine (left a message). Should I try calling them back tomorrow? Or would that be considered rude and pushy? Thanks!

I finally get to post something in this thread that's not whining or complaining. Nova Southeastern just sent out their email to me and I'm finally into at least one PsyD program, and one I actually liked to boot! I think there are more coming later on since this is the first day, but it really takes a big burden off me.

Congrats!! That is so great! I interviewed there this past Monday. I still haven't heard back! Crossing my fingers BIG TIME!!

Hello! Long Island University is my first choice, and has been for years. Now I was wondering, did anyone who did NOT interview there receive a financial aid form from them via email to fill out? How about people who DID interview but did not receive a form? I know they are making their decisions today and I just can't sleep. 🙁 If anyone has any info on this, please PM me... This way I can better gauge my situation. I'm going to be paranoid if I don't get a call before this weekend rolls along...:scared:

Has anyone received an offer from SU? I know there are some folks on this board who are waitlisted, and I wondered if any offers had been received (and whether those offers were being accepted). Thanks and good luck to everyone!! 🙂

No I'm waiting to hear from them too!! I think they give out accepances/rejections by snail mail though :xf:

I thought they contact acceptances by phone. I called admissions last week and they said they were still interviewing and we would definately here within 2 weeks.

I just received an email from the DCT of Pace with an acceptance!

Any one heard from University of Rhode Island after the interviews last month?

Thanks!! I just got a call back... they said they are still reviewing the applications so dont worry if I haven't heard anything yet.... But I'll be checking my mail like a hawk (as if I haven't already been). Can I ask if it was in a special envelope or a regular white one? Just to keep my eye open in case it goes to my neighbor's box... the mailman sometimes mixes ours up... 🙂

Hey there, I received a letter notifying me that I was selected for financial aid verification. But I did interview there. They'll be notifying us of their admissions decisions by early next week. Best of luck to you!

Snail mail acceptance to New School MA program, since you can't go directly into their phd program with 25% scholarship. Good luck to all.

Thank You. Everyone has made my day about this school because I was starting to fear the worst. Maybe they just take a long time!! However, I'm starting to plan for my future incase I'm rejected.

Has anyone else heard from Spalding? I'm still waiting, and expecting the worst...

soooo........i just got an email from fuller housing saying that my application has cleared because they heard from admissions that i was accepted. um....i didnt hear from admissions that i was accepted. but maybe housing is just moving faster with notification than admissions is........?

any thoughts?

Can whoever got the acceptance to new mexico pm me their poi? I had a phone interview last week and am anxiously waiting to hear from them. Thanks!

I've called Yeshiva PsyD about three times now (overkill?) I just really can't help myself, it's my top choice, everyone is hearing back and I just think every day that goes by is bad news because if they wanted me they'd call me already! Trying to keep my cool. The office admissions said we'd hear by April 1st but my gut feeling is that hearing anything that late is a rejection. Fact or fiction?

On a different note, at an interview for another school they said decisions would be March 22/23 and that student had by APRIL 1 the latest to let them know. A DCT from a DIFFERENT school told me APA rules are that no school can pressure you into a decision before April 15th. What is the deal with this? If a school is pressuring me, do I jsut simply tell them the rules? Anyone have a link to this official information?

Wow Wagwise, I guess the housing office let the cat out of the bag early for you 🙂 And an early congrats!!! When I checked my mail yesterday I noticed a letter from Fuller, and my heart about sank. But, then I realized it was from the financial aid office. The letter was telling me to complete my fin. aid app with them soon... does that mean they know something as well???

I never got an acceptance email/call. My acceptance letter came in a white envelope (made my heart drop!) I live about an hour from Yeshiva, so I got my letter really quickly. If it helps, I interviewed on 2/11. GL!

I also got into the New School MA with a scholarship. I wonder if we go through a program like that which requires you to go to their MA program before applying to the PhD how likely we are to get in to the PhD part of the program. Any thoughts? Also, if we are getting a scholarship for the MA, is this their way of telling us we have a good shot of getting in to the PhD later? I am curious because I have another acceptance to a straight-through PhD program, although the funding isn't good.... not sure if I should go to the sure thing without as much money or the gamble with some money

Hey! I am waiting for Spalding, also. I haven't heard good or bad news, so I have no idea what to expect. I thought we were suppose to hear from them by this week. I noticed on here that some people got a call on Monday. I am just hoping for the best at this point.

Go for the sure thing. You are not guaranteed a spot in the phd for new school. The chances are not any better than anyone else.

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone else, other than the person who got accepted 2/18, has heard anything back (positive or negative) from UC Berkeley's School Psychology program. I went to the interview in February, but still haven't heard anything. Am I the only one still waiting, or are there more?

Thanks!

I recommend calling the program assistant. I did and she was able to answer my questions.

Hi, thank you for your response on Berkeley, if you don't mind, were you accepted? I saw your post about Riverside, and I did hear and was accepted after the interview.

Unless you are responding directly to the idea that being offered a scholarship might indicate some increased likelihood of being accepted to the phd program, your advice seems questionable. Obviously people who apply take into consideration that if they go its not a sure thing. The question is what was the winning argument to consider taking this risk anyway, and does it still apply?

Who do you contact to find out where you are on the waitlist? The program chair, or the admissions office?
