That is for combined AP plus subspecialty like NP, HP, etc.

The AP/CP price is still $2200 (I just registered last week).

How does this even happen for candidates? The only combined primary and subspecialty programs that have been allowed to go on are AP/NP. And if you did AP/CP/NP I'm not sure there was ever any other way to do less than 2 seperate sittings. AP/CP for 2200 and NP later for 1800. The other combined programs are about to be extinct as I understand things. So this announcement is kinda wierd and won't cover more than a few years as graduates exit combined programs that won't exist soon.

Yeah I agree - I would advocate doing your AP/CP (or just AP or just CP if that's all you did) during your 4th year of residency, and doing subspecialty boards after fellowship. Don't try to combine them.

But yes, the OP is incorrect - combined AP/CP is still a "discount" if you want to call it that

No. As I stated earlier, I registered for the 2010 AP/CP exam last month. I was charged $2200. That is how I know.

Here's the current list of fees for all ABP exams. The second one is "Combined Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology" and costs $2200.

This page seems to contradict their statement that 2010 test takers will have to register and pay for primary and specialty exams separately. They are still listing combined exams for $2200 as options for Spring/Fall 2010. Confusing....
