Dude I have been up since 4:30, and yes I am still crying about it and yes I know I am a wuss, so I think I should have got a 5 at least.

Dude shut up...I've been up since 3 am... well, I did go to bed at 7pm last night...

This was the giant picture on the front page of my local newspaper.

I would like to shoot (as in guns) the people that thing golf is a sport and/or enjoyable game. After their rounds, they go home to watch paint dry and count up to 1 million.
I can watch golf on tv, you know, like Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, etc., but I can't go and watch someone play golf. (I used to think that a pro-golfer with the initials DD was cute; too bad I can't remember his name...)

I'd rather watch a game of: bowling, pool, baseball, soccer, basketball, darts, bingo, and hopscotch... in person. 😀

David Duvall?

You left poker off your list. Now that should never have become a spectator... sport? game? activity?

I was enjoying a steak and a beer a few minutes ago and needed something from the fridge.

My dog ate my steak.

A moment of silence.

Haha! I've been there before. Made myself a nice sandwich for lunch right before a football game. Walked to the living room and set it down on the coffee table, but forgot a napkin....so went back. I load my sandwiches with jalapeño and banana peppers. When I got back, I had a nice plate of jalapeño and banana peppers.

Just a ribeye. I replaced it with a NY strip 😉

in NM they put green chile on EVERYTHING

One time I had a green chile cheeseburger from some fast food joint (you can get them even at McDonald's out there - quite tasty) - there was some melty cheese on the wrapper so I let my dog lick it. She must've gotten some of the green chile juice - she gave me the dirtiest look.

Ugh, it's 11:11pm and I'm craving a big fat juicy steak. Medium Rare. and also slices of jalapeños on the side. Thank you SDN.

So I woke up this morning and took my Final. Then I just got done playing 8 games of basketball, non-stop. I'm exhausted now.

Tomorrow starts my 1 week summer!!!! Woot!

XBox Live just went down. That does not make me a happy camper.

It's been working for me...wife's playing Fallout 3...(she's become absurdly obsessed with the game...)

I figure I owe her for the weeks of playing Gears of War with my friends until 5AM every night back a few years ago.

I've been a gamer since the NES heyday, but I've yet to move on from the ps2. Fallout 3 does look enticing. I might just have to graduate soon. What are you playing now?

Fallout 3 is an emersive experience like I've never had before...seriously. I usually HATE RPGs, but this is the anti-classical RPG. Between me and my wife playing as evil and good characters, we've logged something like 250 hours of gametime so far. That's disgusting when I think about it...and I can't think of a way to stretch $60 of entertainment dollars any better. But that game's world is so....organic...I can't think of any better way to put it. The world is GIGANTIC. Like it would take me hours to walk from one side of the map to the other, I'd wager. And it's so detail-oriented. If you leave some arbitrary object next to a random exploded car...go miles away...then come back a week later...IT'S STILL F'ING THERE. It's amazing ****, really.

But it sounds like you are missing out on the best part of this generation. Online multiplayer. I think I gave up about 6 months of my life playing Gears of War from late 2006-2007. THAT **** is addicting. Call of Duty 4 then came out...more life lost...then Left 4 Dead...more life lost. Multiplayer is where its at. A computer can't be as cunning as a human that knows your tendencies. That's why making friends online is so great. Usually mindless first person shooters become complex chess matches as everyone knows what everyone else is capable of. You've got like reverse-reverse-reverse psychology at play.

Right now, I'm playing the new content that was released a few days ago for Fallout (after you finish the story, you can buy the expansion packs...they download right to the XB360's hard drive and extend the life of the game another few months...)

I throw in some NCAA 2010 football, too...that's another good mano-e-mano online game...

I toned the gaming down because I thought I was spending too much time immersed in the game world, but the fact is it helps me retain what little sanity I have left. You're right, there is no better value for your money. Man, I really need to get on the ball. I also don't have an HDTV, so I should rectify that soon as well.

Yeah, I am missing out in a major way. Solo games only take you so far. Multiplayer is really where you get your money's worth.

Those expansion packs sound incredible. The last football game I played was ESPN 2007, so I know I'm missing out on all the great sports games as well. That settles it, I'm going for it.

Good gawd...no HDTV and a PS2?

You need to march your ass down to Walmart right now...they're open 24 hours...rectify that ****.

Ha, you speak the truth. What can I say, I'm stuck in 2002. It was a good year, but maybe it's time to move on.

Well...economy might be about to bounce back...unemployment went down. Kinda surprised me...but with that little rally led by blind optimism coupled with hard numbers of better employment...this might be the catalyst. I thought about moving my portfolio back into the US a few months ago, but its prolly too late to make a killing now...I'll just keep it in my Euro/Asian basket...got 18.6% last quarter...woot...

Hopefully we'll soon find out if this mini-surplus of our is legit or recession-driven...

It took cojones to switch to foreign markets. I knew our situation was bad, but I thought foreign stocks would be demolished. I based this all on the idea that we are the world's economic leader, so if we suffer the underlings will pay an even heavier price. I thought of this as trickle-down pain economics. Well, that didn't really happen, so good move. If everything stays on track, I think we have another ~15% quarter ahead.

id also throw gears of war 2 and street fighter 4 into the mix of games with addicting online play. anyone have blazblue? ive been thinking about trying that game out... seems like a pretty out there fighting game

I might be in the minority...or just crazy...but Gears 2 just wasn't as good. I can't quite put my finger on it...but it just wasn't as good. It's like it was faster...more close quarters...more twitch-control...I dunno...

So who else thinks the Palm Pre commercials are creepy as ****?

Jesus...can't any of these computer companies make an ad that makes me want to buy their product? Apple has the douchbagiest commercials every made...and I mean E V E R. Between the hipster douche next to the PC "dork" and every iPod commercial ever made, it's clear that their commercials are the woorst...but now Palm has this creepy ass chick that needs a tan and to stop the psycho new age religion she's probably following. They are seriously trying hard to give Apple a run for their money in god awful commercials.

Gah. Make it stop.

While you're on a YT kick have you seen this one, Mike?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGip7x-sIuo

"Pour it lick it stick it"

lol.

And you're right - That ad could've easily been for a new anti-depressant. Or... a new cyborg movie... or hell, even a new horror movie.

That vid's old as hell....I remember SDN1977 saying her legs looked as good as the pharmacist in that video...and she left the forums a long ass time ago...

Yeah, I think it was first posted in 2007. I am pretty behind the 8-ball when it comes to this stuff. I just heard Boom! Intervention... not too long ago.

Of course, no one at my pharmacy has heard them either, so it can't just be me. =/

The "Make that Supreme Being" physician was pretty spot-on.

I just did my first stack of interventions-processing and was pretty damn surprised at how many wrong interval/wrong dose form/incomplete orders come in.

You work at a pretty small hospital, do you know off-hand how many interventions you do a month? Just for comparison's sake. I'm new to the clin.pharm scene =/

That's a cyborg. No doubt in my mind. Peel back that pasty flesh and there will be shiny metal. Damn that's freaking me out.

Apple commercials serve only to reinforce the perception of Apple customers as hipsters who think a computer can define them as a person.

Terminator 17: The Revenge of the Palm.

QFT.

Hey, didn't you, at one point, say you were waiting to see what the hype was about these? I haven't read any reviews or anything, so I'm not sure how they're supposed to compare to iPhone or any other fancy gadget. I still use one of those free phones from a rebate, because all I use my phone for currently is to talk.
