Okay I'm sure I'm not the only one, but this is getting extremely aggravating. I've reached out to AACOMAS twice with no luck. My transcripts were all received 5/21 and are still stuck verifying. And now I see they're verifying ones from June? What the heck is going on?

Dr. Latte if I had to guess I would say we might be verified next week...it looks like it's taking about 15 days right now (counting weekends, etc). I'm hoping for this week. Of course, there is the possibility they are really dragging...unlike amcas...

Been trying to call AACOMAS all morning, just getting a busy message every time. How are you ever supposed to get any help?

They responded to my email, but it wasn't very helpful. My transcripts were marked as received on 5/21, but haven't been verified. The email basically said if they haven't been received to send them again, but that isn't the issue.

Should I consider mailing them again? It gets really expensive to do that, especially if they're supposedly received and just not verified.

You may be right and I can't speak for others, but personally I did submit before waiting for transcripts to be received. I submitted just a few days after the app opened, and things were marked received a few weeks later. Still waiting to be verified.

Does this have anything to do with their switching to a new host this year?

I originally sent in a transcript request for my community college on May 22 through their online service. Nothing. So I spoke to the registrar, and she personally sent it out again June 19. Still nothing. I called last Monday while on vacation and after finally getting through, was told to check back July 6 or 7 because processing is taking about 10-12 days right now. Just called again this morning, and he told me to check back again by the end of the week because they are right in the middle of processing times for the day the transcript was submitted... a second time. I submitted my application 6/25. I am beginning to wonder if I shouldn't ask for a refund of my money if it hasn't been processed by the end of the week... Just had my transcript sent again today through the online service. I wanted to get my application in early to help me out.

Are all your transcripts marked as received but just not verified? Because that's where I am and I submitted/had my transcripts in even earlier. I emailed them again yesterday and got the same cookie cutter response as the day before. Literally copied and pasted like they didn't even read my email. This is disgusting.

I resent all my transcripts today, too. My application has been whole and complete since May, it's just been on their end. This really makes me angry and they make themselves unreachable. I called earlier today and got a busy tone, and after that, all subsequent calls have just gone to their answering machine where you can't even leave a message.

I don't want to sound whiny but I think this is taking way, way too long and the fact that I can't even talk to a human being about it is really making me upset because there is literally nothing else I can do otherwise. I don't know what else to do.

Edit: Was actually able to get through to a human on the phone after waiting about 20 minutes. Turns out, there is a technical error with my application that prevents anyone from accessing it (hello, why didn't anyone catch on to that?), so the lady had a tech ticket forwarded to the verifications department and told me to keep calling this week. I told her it's almost impossible to get ahold of anyone, so she said she would email me. Now time to wait I guess...She told me Friday at the latest but you can bet I will be calling every day this week regardless.

Keep calling as often as possible if you're running into the same trouble, eventually you will be put on the hold waiting list.

One transcript was received already, and I sent in the request for that one after I did the one that has not arrived. I have called numerous times to AACOMAS (the best times to call are late morning, I've noticed), and you do have to wait on hold for about 20 minutes average before you speak to someone. I also called the CC for the second time today and talked to the registrar. So I've resent my transcript request in twice online and once directly from the registrar.

The sad part is that I've done all that I can possibly do to get the transcript to them. It's out of my hands.

@DrLatte I feel your pain, and I would be even more frustrated in your position! So sorry, keep up updated!

For those who mentioned that they received a string of error code when you try to check your application status, this is likely the same problem. I strongly suggest calling in.

Hey everyone, for those experiencing problems on AACOMAS, I spoke to someone today and she told me to switch to using Firefox, for some reason they switched it or something to support only Mozilla...... I'm not sure what she exactly said bc my connection was bad, but before I was using Safari, Chrome and IE to open it and it wouldn't work, then after speaking to her I downloaded Firefox and it worked just fine. Try that!

Well I finally got a hold of someone today and when I submitted on the 13th there was a glitch in the system and it processed as the 19th for whatever reason. Even though it is an error on their end they won't fix it! So I guess I'm delayed a week to get verified for absolutely no other reason than a system error. AACOMAS is terrible. Which is why I will be tying up their phone line every single day until my application is verified after their 'error'.

You know, the most insulting this is that I've emailed them three times, each one said something different. And each time I received the same copy/paste email in response. The exact same one. How is that okay or professional? That is why I was so glad to finally talk to someone today, but I feel like that was a rare miracle. And even still I'm not confident they're going to follow up unless I keep talking to them.

So here's an update after I called again this morning: I spoke to a verifications manager and basically she said this is an ongoing issue with several applications, they don't know how to fix it so that the applications are eligible to be verified, they're working on it, but do not know when it will be resolved.

Very comforting. Great, might not be resolved anytime soon. Meanwhile it gets later and later in the application cycle. Fantastic. Probably the only good thing that came out of it is that she gave me her direct email so that I can contact her specifically and not get an email robot anymore.

She said that schools are aware of this issue, but I don't think they'll actually care overall to be honest- what do they know? How would they even be able to tell the difference between an artificially late app and an app that truly was just submitted late?

By the way, it's this: If you get this error when you check program status, this is the problem they're having. I imagine it's just a line of bad code and can't imagine it's that hard to fix but I don't know anything about programming.

From time to time, when I click program materials, instead of getting the error code, I get a blank page that seems like it is trying to load a pdf (it offers the option to 'download' it even though there is nothing there). Subsequent clicks then lead to the error code. Has anyone else noticed this? I know that whatever is causing the error after that is probably the root of the issue, wonder if AACOMAS knows that much.

I have this problem sometimes, but it isn't a big deal. All my schools received my primary after verification and were able to download it no problem. I received secondaries in a week.

That's all well and good, but this is a different problem entirely. This is a problem where myself and others have gone nearly 6 weeks since all materials were received unverified, because AACOMAS is unable to access the verification page of our applications. Supposedly they're working on it but don't know how to fix it or when it will be fixed.

Hmm...yeah I understand. AACOMAS really needs to fix their issues.

1) Click "quote" on the most recent post.
2) Add your name and All transcripts received date in chronological order in the list. This is when your status changes to 'all transcripts received', not when you hit 'Submit.' Those who submitted without all transcripts being received can add their name to the "All Transcripts Received (Pending)" list at the bottom of the page in order of the date they submitted.
3) Delete the quote tags at both the top and the bottom.
4) When your AACOMAS is verified, come back and add the date you were verified to your previous entry.

According to the guy, 3-4 weeks from when your application is "complete" (I guess when everything is in since my completion date was 2 days after my transcripts arrived ) to official verification.
