***The Official ECU Class of 2019 Interview/Acceptance Thread***

It's a very laid back process.

1 student interview, 2 faculty interviewers (may be an adjunct professor, or just a member of the ADCOM).
Also, you get to have a brief "group chat" with Dr. Wilson. (She is the most friendly person ever, very easy to talk to).

Just be yourself. You're there so they can learn about YOU, while you learn more about their program. Good Luck 😀

So there isn't a one on one interview with Dr. Wilson? Also, about how long did each interview last? Thanks!!!

I got interview date on Feb 2. I do not know but the date is too far. Do you know how much people already accepted to ecu.

Hey for those of you who were already accepted and paid your deposit, did your status change on AADSAS?

Has anyone that interviewed post dec heard anything?

Nothing so far, hoping they will start sending more offers out soon!

Interviewed mid December as well, nothing yet. Current dental student there told me that he interviewed in December and got acceptance sometime in February.

Nothing here. From the threads of the past two years it looks like towards the end of the month is when some movement may occur... Hopefully 🙂 But looks like it's pretty random and offers can go at any time and also pretty late in the cycle. Does anyone know if they're still interviewing?

They are still interviewing. Mr. Lowery said up to the 3rd week of Feb.

Has anyones aadsas status changed? Mine still says "invited to interview," not that it matters, just curious.

Not sure how many they just said it's their job to make sure everyone has a chance from the first to last interview. They were a lot of people reapplying that were strong applicants and good people. The outcome will be interesting. I hope it great for all of you.

Congrats on your acceptance drebin198. Do you know how many seats are available?

Well that seems to be assuring considering last years Facebook group has like 92 with admins and other students older than the ones entering.

Best of luck to y'all waiting. I've been in your shoes for a total of four times. Don't give up and keep improving, no matter the outcome!

Anyone else here anything today or have looked at the FB group to see how many people are in?

Good luck to everyone waiting seriously, I know its tough...I applied two years ago and took last cycle off to complete my masters of science. Stay strong!

The Facebook group seems pretty full. No waitlist notifications yet?

I tried to contact the Dr. Lowery yesterday but talked with Jennifer and she said that class is not full yet. She took my cell phone number and told me that Dr. Lowery contact me soon.

I contacted them and they said the class isn't going to be full until mid April.

I know two girls who turned their seats down to ECU for UNC. So they will most likely have open seats.

I got email from dr lowery and he said that you will not offer this year and your aadsas will update in coming days he also that this is not official rejection letter. What should I do now this is my second time

If it’s your true desire to become a dentist, you will know how to proceed. You simply do not give up if this path is what is in your heart. Doubt and rejection can cause us to feel defeated at times. Emotions drive our decisions but we do have the ability to choose which ones to listen to. A new AADSAS cycle starts soon. Time just gives us more chances to learn and improve ourselves. Good luck to you in the future.

I heard ECU sent the "continued interest" email out today, did anyone received it?

Good luck to all of you sitting, waiting, and wishing! Your time WILL come if you stay at it!

Received rejection letter today in the mail. I will be looking forward to trying again for the 2020 class. Graduations to all that got in and good luck to those that will be reapplying with me.

Has anyone else received a rejection or any type of communication?

I got rejection letter in today's mail and can not think right time what will do because this is my second time

I got rejected. Pretty sure it's because I was asian. ECU only accepts 5 "asians" every year. Look at the stats in the ADEA handbook.
