I was wondering this also..

I got my call on Dec 2. Just received my packet that had to be signed for in 12/12 . OOS from SC. Hang in there and good luck.
Was wondering if the person who is instate and declining their acceptance, if you don't mind me asking, did you choose another dental program to attend and if so, why?

I'm in state declining my acceptance. I will be at either ucsf and upenn dental. Finance isn't an issue and I like the curriculum and the diversity of the student body.

does anybody hear if there is more acceptance to call ? this is my second time that getting interview and no call from GRU? Is anybody with my situation ?

I am same way, second time applying, got interviews both times.. No call yet...

I've been waitlisted at GRU. The letter is dated Dec. 6th.

I'm OOS, 3.82 GPA, 20AA / 21TS / 23 PAT.
Interviewed Sep. 29th and 30th

Does anyone know how many people are put on the waitlist?

I was on the waitlist last year and was told by the administration that 20 are on the waitlist. If someone is to drop out they replace that person with someone on the wait list of the same type of background for example if they are out-of-state usually you have a better chance of being out-of-state selected from wait list. Or for example if you are female they will most likely grab a female from the waitlist, the purpose is to try to keep the initial class that they had extended offers to intact, they want to keep the mold that they envision and that's why they grab from the waitlist similar people that decline acceptance. Good luck!!

I haven't heard anything yet either. I applied last year but didn't get interviewed. But I followed Ms. Perry's advice and got a interview this year. I'm really hoping my phone rings next week and it's Ms. Perry or Dr. Hanes .. <fingers crossed>

I wouldn't be surprised if they increased the wait list, as they doubled the max amount of OOS'ers for this cycle. Time will tell.

I didn't interview last year either and interviewed late september this year. It really is bittersweet! I didn't think my interview went that badly or anything but I guess we'll find out what we need to improve on at the meeting. Are you going to reapply again for the following cycle?

Dreams are still coming true!!! Received a call this morning from Mrs. Perry!!! Guys, don't give up, 'cause you never know when your phone might ring!!! Good Luck to all on here!!! 😉

Did you interview Nov. 18th?

Are you reapplying if you don't get in this year? (Fingers crossed you do!) But yes! I was told to go for as many as possible and I did. Not sure what they want either lol

I will, but probably will only apply to GRU next year. This is already my second year applying. I will go off the deep end if I have to wait another year. I feel... old.

I am too. Bless your heart 🙁 Were you waitlisted last year? This was my first application but surprised at a rejection. I guess I'll find out when I have my phone meeting with Ms. Perry

I applied last year, but didn't get invited for an interview, so I was simply rejected.

I understand that there may be other circumstances, but why are y'all only applying to one school? In every interview I had, they asked if I applied to other schools. The answer should be a resounding yes. Do you want to be a dentist or do you just want to go to GRU? Just food for thought...

And I am a reapplicant who was accepted this year.

And congratulations on getting accepted! I bet its an awesome feeling.
