The Official "I'm no longer a lurker" thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
This is actually only my second post? Does that count?

Q: Tell me a situation that show you care about others. {no kidding. I got it at one interview!}

A: I am here at The Student Doctor Network {a good brand, buddy !!!}. I feel a strong sense of inner satisfaction after helping others. 😍

Hello everyone.....I'll admit it..I'm a lurker.....they say the first step to recovery is to admit what you are. lol anyway I really enjoy the site. I usually check it every couple of days. I had an interview at Shenendoah but haven't heard anything yet. the interview questions were dead on. Just wanted to say hi....

Hi WalkingThunder! Good luck on getting into Shenandoah. :luck: I interviewed and was accepted there in December, so hopefully we'll be classmates. 🙂

Welcome to SDN!

Come on lurkers... you can do it! I know when it says that there are 59 people viewing the page and like 2 new posts something ain't right!

Lurker defined: one who lurks, in particular a user of an internet chat room or newsgroup who does not participate.

If that's you, you know what to do! Say hi 🙂

haha ok ill admit im partly responsible for the sky high view counts

*giggles* i've lurked since 2004 on and off, but was too shy to post 😛

i finally posted my first question a couple of weeks ago. yay! 😀

This is funny, I was just telling someone that I was a lurker here...and now I'm on my 3rd post! WAHOOO

I lurked until I got my acceptance letter. Many thanks to everyone for their help, encouragement and terrific tips on succeeding at this massive challenge!

Very soon, my friend, your habit will increase from every couple days to every day. And then, you will need us several times a day. Then you will find that you can't think, can't function, can't go on living without us. Your entire life will revolve around getting back to your sick addiction to studentdoctor.net. You will crave us. You will turn away from family and friends just to spend more time with us.

...just kidding.
Welcome to the club o' crazies. 😉

Chris

ever since i made my first post, i've been checking sdn incessantly everyday. it's true!! 😳

I too must admit, I have been a lurker...since Dec. 2005 😱 . This site is great and at first, I figured I'll start posting when I actually start the pharm admission process. I am hoping to get accepted for Fall 2008...yeah, not too far, but not too close either. However, I began posting a little... 😳 lol! This thread is pretty cool though so I thought, what the hell...nice meeting everyone!!!

Ok, fine. I'll out myself...I can't believe I let that guilt trip nudge me into posting. Oh well, I am a lurker no more...not that there's anything wrong with that. 😉

I'm generally lurking with a few odd posts. Most of my posts came in the PCAT forum right before/after the exam. So I guess you could call me a pre-pharm/pharm forum lurker.

So I think that my join date says October 2005. But I started lurking in May or so. Didn't get up the courage to post until then. And now look at me! I tell you, don't get started, it's like crack...

Another lurker here checking in! Maybe we should start an intro thread for this forum?

ah you got me, I've been lurking since March after my TT interview.. too bad I couldn't have found you guys before my interview.

darn, you caught me! i have been "lurking" since january. i have found the whole application process VERY stressful and it is good to know there are others in the same boat. i applied to 4 schools, and got one interview and three no's. the interview was for my first choice school so i'm not too wrecked about the rejections, but the waiting on their admission decision is driving me ABSOLUTLY batty!!!!! i still have hope, but i'm getting tired of checking the mailbox and finding nothing.
at least studentdoctor.com lets me know i am not alone...
thanks to all for sharing and i promise to post more.
