So I took AAMC 4 today with mixed results. SO excited I broke up into 30 for the first time! But I'm a little concerned about my breakdown... 30 (7 PS, 10 VR,13 BS). I'm feeling better now since I got a high (for me) score...but it sounds like I need to get on and review the PS!

SB 14 I believe it is because their tests are harder than the AAMC's posted. AAMC PS doesn't even come close to GS PS lol that's impressive.

Ugh, I'm stuck between feeling so burnt out that any more work will melt my brain, but also really wanting to push myself these last few days to cover any weaknesses. I was supposed to take another FL tomorrow, but with how tired I am right now, I don't even know if my brain will cooperate.
I might still swap AAMC 10 for a GS for a harder PS like you've all said, but still do AAMC 11.

I know how u feel ... im having trouble motivating myself and i cant seem to wake up at 6:30 am these past few days... i need really power through this week

I used melatonin to force myself to sleep last night so I could wake up when I did Also first time in weeks that I remembered having a dream= def recommend

Dang...almost re-considering re-taking this exam.
(PS/VR/BS)
AAMC3: 10/10/9 = 29 (Taken 1/2 way into content review)
AAMC4: 12/10/13 = 35
AAMC5R: 11/10/10 = 31
AAMC7R: 11/8/10 = 29
AAMC8R: 9/11/10 = 30
AAMC9: 13/9/11 = 33
AAMC10: 12/8/12 = 32

AAMC R Average = 30
AAMC CBT Average = 32.25
Also, I did AAMC 3-11 last year, but don't really remember any details.

My 07/13/2013 MCAT = 11/8/11 = 30. GPA is 3.69/3.64.

2 more practice tests left...but I'm not where I wanna be. Any suggestions?

Heplayer,
I noticed you do better on Non R tests. Maybe because you get fatigued by R tests?. I think you'll be way more focused on test day and get scores more similar to those CBTs.

GS 8: 9/9/10. PS was just ridiculous...

i didn't think ps was that bad on 8 (minus the pulley passage) i found 9 and 10 PS way more difficult. guessed on the entire last passage of 10 and got an 11. I feel their later PS sections are meant to emulate the harder MCATs where people say they guessed on 7-10 questions and still got 10-12s.

The thing I like about GS the most is the green color score bar gives me confidence lol...made me feel like goku charging up his power level with each exam.

wow, how were you faring on GS tests?

GS PS average 1-10 11.2 GS BS average 1-10 12.0

didn't do verbals 1-8, verbal 9: 11, verbal 10: 12, their verbal is awful even though the words "revised verbal reasoning" are plastered all over the site, i would not recommend it to anyone ..so I just did 9 and 10 b/c was bored lol. I feel if you do GS verbal you might get worse at AAMC verbal haha.

Also, I didn't really review my answers as thoroughly as I should have so most likely that's why I plateaued at 11 for the PS. BS I did and it went up a bit. Most likely b/c they repeat question types between exams.

Finishing up the Self assesments and just finished verbal 83%..Not sure how I feel about.. some of the later passages were insanely difficult but the first 60 questions were a cake walk.

did very similarly on my AAMC 10 as well (13, 10, 12) although I felt my verbal went down a little compared to my other tests. what did you think of the verbal on 10?

Also, how do people feel about energy drinks before the test? and what type of snacks in between sections? Last year I took mine at 1PM and it was SOOO much easier for me to focus than the 8AM practice tests (which i end up starting around 8:30 anyways) I take now :/

woo snagged a 40 (13, 14, 13) on kaplan 10 and 41 (14, 12, 15) on kaplan 4 this weekend. don't really have any justification for feeling worried after this (albeit kaplan inflation) but I think it's just seeing people on the recent mcat threads have high averages and then score well below that still makes me extremely anxious for saturday. seriously just want to get this over with because i cant use a practice test score on my amcas haha.

question: does everyone start at the same time at the prometric center, or do you go by your own time? does everyone have their breaks at different times based on when they started, etc

Thanks bud, hoping for the same! Those R tests definitely helped get my science scores up, but unfortunately, not for verbal. =/ Let's go 6 more days of hard work =) Good luck to you too friend!

I think we go by our own time. Wouldn't make sense if we all started at the same time, that would mean that California kids are testing at 5 am when Georgia kids test at 8 am.

....or catchmoresun did you mean is it uniform among the testing center? It isn't when I did it last. Whoever got there first did their testing first, took their own breaks and left first.

nice! yep i feel you... i'm hoping to catch the up swing of my scores on saturday 🙂

AAMC SA Scores
Bio 89%
Orgo 95%
Physics 86%
Chem 94%
Verbal 83%

i did some calculations and that comes out to a 12-11-13 PS-VR-BS
Which is basically what Ive been getting the last few mcats.. dam this stuff is so standardized lol

Took AAMC 10: 31 12/10/9. Kind of peeved about Bs since I missed 5 from stupid mistakes/reading too quickly. But I will learn from the BS section mistakes, and if there is one thing that I learned from this test is to read the questions a bit more slowly 🙂

howd you guys feel about AAMC 11? sheeeeesh that physical sciences was rough...the rest seemed fair but time was not on my side...ended up with a 30 tho! not bad...

lol dudewheresmymd there was construction and jackhammers during my BS section, it kinda messed me up.
That 9 isn't representative of my abilities, but I will sure as hell learn from it
Will take AAMC 11 Wednesday and let you know dcnetsfan77
