**** The Official Louisville Class of 2017 Interview/Acceptance Thread ****

My application was mailed in September , plus they said that the class is not filled yet !

That's pretty late. You have decent stats, just a little late on the submit date. Don't beat yourself up over that.

Trying not to ! And waiting for a decision is killing me :scared:

we interviewed yesterday and someone said it was full..
If it is full why are they still interviewing you guys? There are still plenty of people on the waiting list, they don't need to add more people on there just to see if there are spots open.

Ya I was under the impression that the class wasn't filled either, and when I called last week the lady in the admissions office said they would be sending out acceptances in February. I could be wrong though.

I called the school too, and they said there are still spots open, they wouldn't be interviewing if they class is already full. They said they haven't send out any acceptances for people on the waitinglist, but the list will def. move in feburary. WHAT A RELIEF!!!! fingers crossed ~~~~(>_<)~~~~

Aadsas updated to wait list today after interviewing yesterday.

Guess they wait list everyone yesterday and decide in Feb?

I am guessing after dec. 3rd, they put everyone who they interviewed onto the waiting-list, unless there are people they desperately want to accept. After they finish interviewing, they will go back to the waiting-list and check how many people want to remain on the list (because some people might already accept an offer from other school), then they will consider the remaining waitlisters and send out last minute offers to fill their class.
I am just guessing on this process, don't take my words for it, but the office lady said there are still spots left.

Ya that's along the lines of what I have been told as well, so hopefully that's the case!

Do they give priority to applicants who got waitlisted before December 3rd??? And do the dec 3rd waitlisted people have better stats than post the 3rd of dec applicants ?

I don't think so, my understanding is that they go over all the names of those on the NTBC list when a spot opens up...

What Louisville says and what they actually do are two different things.

exactly! if they said that the second round hasn't gone out, It means it has not gone out BUT what they didn't say is whether they have selected for the second round or not. Admissions play mind games as well by using their choice of words. Be careful and actually listen to what they say.

what?! how do you know if they have or have not selected for the "2nd round"? a better example of louisville doing 2 different things is saying they will be "accepting more students in mid to late january/february" (the impression of a 2nd round) and then accepting a handful of students in january

its all speculation right now but again they said they havent made 2nd round yet.

When do you guys think that the "2nd" round of acceptances will go out? Any ideas?

They told me sometime in February, no specific date though.

Once I was told by someone there: late January/Early Feb.

More recently I was told that there is no specific time and that the candidates are notified at any time.

Personally, I think we should hopefully getting some news in the next 2 weeks. Hopefully sooner than later.

Hi, does anyone know how last year 2nd round went? Maybe we can expect the similar timeline to hear back for the second round acceptance...?

I know of someone that interviewed on 1/28 that was accepted yesterday, so they must be giving them out already... I wonder how many they have left, if any?

did u interview on 1/28? i was there... There was 20 of us there but only 18 showed up.

Yeah, I was there too. Hopefully they have more seats to give out, it was an awesome school. Would love to go there....

Are you sure that your friend got in yesterday !!! I thought that the committy has not scheduled a meeting yet !!! Because I called and they said that the commity has not met yet.

Well that is what he told me, don't know too much else though...

Where is your friend from? Is he or she OOS?

When you talked to them, did they mention when they are meeting to decide on NTBC and offer more acceptance? I'm assuming after this round of acceptance, it will be based on who gives up the seat.

The Admissions Committee has met! I interviewed in September and was put on the next to be contacted list in December. They called me today at 1:20pm to offer me a spot in the class of 2017!!! My official emails came about an hour later. Hopefully, some of you will be hearing from them in the following weeks

Nope ! I don't think that they have offered any instate spots , are you instate ?

That's awesome ! I hope that they will start calling instate people next week!

Yes they were delivering the news personally, so it may just take awhile to get through to everyone. Hang in there! Hopefully your good news will be here soon!!

I hope so ! Lets us know if you hear anything new.

I'm accepted!! Couldn't get in last year...so it feels great.
Notified by phone and then email.

I think that last week they filled up the spots for OOS and this week they will do it for instate applicants, because I have not heard about any instate getting in last week.

So, if you are OOS and have not heard back with acceptance yet, does this mean you are pretty much off the list? The spots will only become available if someone decided to decline the acceptance, right?

I think so ! because nobody has heard of any instate applicants getting accepted !
