*** The Official Maryland Class of 2020 Interview/Acceptance Thread ***

Anyone know when they will send out more interview invites? I submitted my app way late but received a supplemental about a month or 2 ago. All the waiting is driving me nuts
Can you please share your stats and when your app was mailed i am in the same boat of waiting

Lol I love how everyone is avoiding making the facebook group. If I hadn't already declined Maryland, I'd do it. But alas...enjoy the next 4 years with all that super cool technology! 🙂

Lol. I'd totally make it but I haven't been accepted... yet. *wink, wink Maryland plz*

Hey everyone, after mailing your acceptance form did you receive a confirmation email from the school saying that they received your forms? thank you

Does anyone have a cost of attendance breakdown for Maryland that includes living expenses?

I can only find this page, which doesn't include living expenses: http://www.umaryland.edu/media/umb/af/sa/DDS.pdf

And this page that gives the round figure: https://www.umaryland.edu/fin/prospective-students/cost-of-attendance/

I can't remember if they had a more detailed breakdown that includes everything at the interview? Maybe they had a paper copy?

Thanks!

The more detailed cost of attendance was on a powerpoint, and we got a paper copy of the presentation in our little folders 🙂 PM me if you want the breakdown, I can type it up for you.

Submitted the supplemental 9/1, wondering if I'll ever get an interview?
I assume that once more people reject the offer from 12/1/15, it will be more rooms for those who qualify for interviews

Sounds reasonable, I'd love to attend this school! Congrats on your acceptance though, thats awesome news!

Has anyone from post 12/1 interview hear anything back?

Will tomorrow be too soon to hear back about a 12/15 interview?

Congrats to all of you that got accepted! Any of you interview 11/17? Also, any of you OOS?

I interviewed on Tuesday 11/17 and I'm from California.

I was accepted this morning too. I think I've been in shock all day and it just now hit me!
So unbelievably excited and thankful. Congrats to everyone else who got in.
And for those of you guys who haven't gotten in yet - hang in there.
Plenty of acceptances will go out between now and March.
:clap::claps::soexcited::=|:-)::highfive:

I am so excited to see you guys in August next year 🙂

How long do they take to get back to you after you interview? I haven't done my interview yet, just curious.

Congratulations to all those who can already breathe easily. Does anyone know when Maryland will be sending out the next acceptances? Is it only on Fridays? With Christmas and New Years coming up, will I be in suspense for a while? I interviewed last week.

Congrats to everyone who got in recently!:claps:Can't wait to meet you all!

So, about a week before i was accepted, I received a letter in the mail from the registrars office informing me that i'm classified as in-state. (i've lived in MD for 10 yrs, with one year about 3 years ago i lived in va with my mom).

However, today when I got my official acceptance letter in the mail, they told me that I've been classified as a non-resident of Maryland...
I'm so confused....

Did this happen to anyone else?

YES!! This happened to me too! I've lived in MD my entire life so there's no denying it lol. It's got to be a mistake. But it was strange how in the letter they were like, "We know you've told us you're a MD resident but we're just going to ignore that for now.." I'm planning to call them tomorrow and hopefully get it all sorted out.

Hey guys, I have one question for you all. A few days ago, I have received a letter from the registrar's office saying that I've been classified as in-state. However, there was another round of acceptance last Friday and I didn't get an acceptance e-mail yet, at least. I was wondering if any of the accepted students all got this letter and also if you knew anyone who received this letter without being accepted???

sooo Baltimore as a city... can someone give me some insight 🙂 I was only there about 20 hours so I don't really know much about it still and googling can only take me so far. Loved the school itself but I want to know about living, night life, actual safety, etc

Does Maryland require background check? I know that they do not participate in Certiphi background check, but do they have their own way to do it?

I never got a background check request from them. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure Maryland is one of the few schools that don't require one.

I started this thread, but I will not be attending. One spot is opening for you all who are waiting to get into this great school!
