Does anyone know what is the chance of getting accepted post-interview?

If they like you enough to get an interview, houvd got a good chance of getting an offer. But with that being said, it all depends on how well you interviewed and how many open seats are left

Has anyone that’s accepted their offer received anything other than the email that said thanks for accepting your offer?

Totally understand. My only concern was just the amount of people they interview per cycle. Last year, they interviewed 230 people for a class size of 63. So they are interviewing for over triple of what their class size actually is?

Yeah. That's pretty normal. lots of people turn down their acceptance and some people dont interview well/look better on paper than in real life

I am just concerned about the cost of this school. Anyone that currently goes here, how do you manage this?

Its manageable but it's good to go into it with a plan. If you take out the full amount and want to pay it off in 10 years after graduation, you're looking at monthly payments around $5-6k/month. Military, nhsc, or ihs are the best way to go in my opinion to avoid the debt but they all come with service requirements after graduation. Other options would be public health which can offer state loan repayment opportunities, S2S program, or PSLF (although many here do not encourage this route). I have several classmates who are now in private practice who are managing just fine with this debt load. Its doable, but planning is key

Thank you very much! Very helpful

Anyone here going to the pre-interview reception this Wednesday?
I already interviewed, but when I went there were a lot of interviewees. I really enjoyed it and I still keep in contact with the people I met at the pre-interview reception. I'd recommend going, it's a good time and will help you relax before the interview.

That's great! Is it more casual? Was just wondering what would be appropriate to wear that night.

Yes, it's very casual. I wore jeans and a top. It'll be you, other interviewees, and dental students. The dental students were super chill and we just chatted them up, I wouldn't stress about it. Some of the dental students might be your tour guides the next day and that was nice.

I got an interview invite today. Can you guys please help me with what to expect on the interview day, what questions you've been asked and any additional tips?

I’m waitlisted at a couple schools currently. Do you think it’s worth it attending the interview on February 20? Since you guys said you’re most likely being waitlisted after the interview, even if it’s a good interview

Absolutely. There is so much shuffling going on during these months that seats are going to open up.

I’m hoping I can hear back from at least one of couple schools I’m waitlisted at so I can give up my interview for someone else.
If you're hesitant to attend the interview then ask yourself this question: if you were accepted to this school and this school only, would you attend? If not and you would rather reapply and get into a school you'd prefer/closer/cheaper then that might be your best option to save the costs of attending the interview.

I think that since you decided to apply in the first place that you have some interest in the school so you should attend but this decision is entirely up to you.

She just said the committee would meet asap to make decisions. So hopefully soon

For what it's worth, the date to set a deposit to hold your spot is 2/5 I believe and the Facebook group currently has 55 students. Assuming everyone who accepted is in the group, that means there's around 8 spots left.

Just received an interview for the 5th. Can anyone who interviewed already give me some insight on the interview itself?

Question for anyone who interviewed from out of state... How in the world did you get to Kirksville?? Did you fly into St Louis, then drive like 3 hours to Kirksville? Did you take a bus? What did you do?

Fly to KC or STL and rent a car. Or fly to STL then fly to Kirksville on Cape Air.
