****The Official Nova Class of 2017 Acceptance Thread****

Loved interviewing at Nova today. The d4 students we toured with said nothing to the effect of what that other disgruntled student mentioned in this thread. Remember to form your own opinions..

Anyone know the tuition including living costs? I don't remember them giving me the actual number when I interviewed in September.

Anyone know the tuition including living costs? I don't remember them giving me the actual number when I interviewed in September.

In the most recent ADEA guide, it says $88,103 for non-residents

About 60,000 for tuition, 2000 for books, and 22000 for living expenses I think. Plus the usual supplies, health insurance etc. costs. The students planned to be about 300,000 in debt when they were finished.

Anyone interviewing Nov 28th?

Interview January 16 🙂 Can't wait to get out of NY and this horrific weather to be in the sun!!

Does anyone know if Nova has summer semesters? I'm wondering if its similar to an undergrad degree where you get a few months off between to work and make some money to help pay for school.

Hi everyone!!

My interview is on Dec. 5th. Anyone?

I am looking forward for it 🙂

I had my Nova interview a few weeks ago and I just wanted to say it was a great experience. Out of the 3 interviews I've been to so far (UF, NOVA, LECOM), Nova has been the most impressionable. Each of the staff you will meet are extremely kind and humorous and definitely make you feel comfortable. They emphasize the fact that they want you to feel at ease and they definitely do not judge you on how you perform under pressure. The students who took us around were kind and were honest. They seem to really enjoy NOVA and living in Ft. Lauderdale. One of the most impressive part of the school (in my opinion) was how integrated all of the graduate health programs are. In one building you can run into nursing students, DO students, pharm students, etc.You can really feel the familial atmosphere that you dont quite get at other schools. During the interview, all the students had one on ones with a staff member (I was lucky enough to have Dr.Lippman, one of the kindest people you will ever meet).I was pretty nervous when my interview started, but Dr. Lippman was so warm and welcoming I felt very relaxed and it was very conversational. He asked me why dental school, my shadowing experience, my volunteering experience, what i do for fun, and other basic questions. Nothing too tough.

Hope this helped! good luck guys 🙂

Thank you Heller123 so much for sharing the experience. So far I have heard many good stories about NOVA from the NOVA dental students and students who had interviews at the school. I am getting my fingers crossed and looking forward for the interview.

yeah, hi Heller123, when did you interview? Sep 27? cuz I think I talked to a guy who had an interview with LECOM and NOVA. not sure if it was you. To add to what Heller123 said, I think NOVA has a lot to offer. After the interview, my interviewer asked me if I want to see the clinic again, I said yes, so she told me to come down and look for Dr. Far. Well, he was busy so he didn't had enough time to show me around the clinic, but told the assistant that it was alright for me to take a look around if I wanted to. I browsed around, talked to a doctor on the floor, who coincidentally carpool with my interviewer. He then introduced me to 2 other doctors who then patiently waiting to introduce me to Dr. Far. So after about 45 min on the patient clinic, I talked to Dr. Far who then took me around the clinic and explained to me how it work. In short, I think the pros of attending NOVA are: the most friendly students and faculty members that I have met, the busiest clinic that I have seen so far ( I interviewed with 6 schools), the location is awesome, weather is pretty good. Now the cons: since all health students are packed into one building, it gets hectic especially around lunch. I think it would be awesome if they get another building in the near future ( the sim lab, wet lab and clinic are located in another smaller building fyi). Since NOVA is a private inst, tuition fee will be much higher than UF or other state school. Overall, I think the pros outweighs the cons. To all those who will have interviews at NOVA, good luck!

My interview is on Dec 13th and I reserved my hotel room last week. It has two beds, so if anyone hasn't booked anything yet and has an interview then, just let me know!

are you still going then i'd like to share a room with you😀 if you are a guy.

I had my interview yesterday and I must say I am impressed by the facility , and the way they treat you during interview ...never felt this relaxed and welcome...they have nice clinical space and the time I visited the Sim lab was super busy...I kind of observed the students working there and all I got was a positive vibe....teamwork...focused and happy ...i think the focus came from the fact that they had practical that evening...Over all the facility was good .....Lunch was yummy ...I liked the idea of boxed lunch....I saved my chips and cookies for after interview cravings 🙂 ....don't forget to pick up cookies in the jars (sitting area) they were so yummy ..if you travel with Delta you know what cookie I am talking about....another aspect of campus that I liked was... you are not separated from the rest of the health division ...makes the facility more lively and attractive (I like crowd)..you will also have a chance to explore campus after interview I recommend you must do this...will help you great deal about your decision where you will spend next four years of your life ...and don't rush back to airport ..save some time to explore beaches ..GOOD LUCK!

Oh don't worry about interview...it is the most relaxed one...infact Dr. Lippman gives you an insight to what they are looking for ..so one advice just be yourself. no trick questions just getting to know real you kind of interview.

Any of you guys sure you are going to NOVA?
Anyone wants to take the initiative to start a Facebook group?

Anyone have any idea how their waitlist works? Any students have experience with this?

Would love to know this as well. Do any current students remember approximately when their class filled up?
