Interview September 12th! The school looks awesome. (OOS New Jersey)
 
Congrats on the interviews everyone!

Has anyone tried calling Nova? The number I used from their email has me holding for 20 minutes. I had to hang up and get back to work. Another time, I was on hold for 10 minutes, and finally spoke with someone who transferred me to a dental adviser or something and all I got was a voice mail. So, anyone actually get to speak to someone about their application?

Do you think it is too early to call and ask why they didn't invite me for an interview?

I am driving myself crazy wondering why I got passed up since my stats are similar to others who got invites. It would help to know the reason.
 
For those of you who received interviews how long after Nova called you to confirm your application was complete, did they email you guys with the invites? Just wondering about the timeline!!
 
I got my interview date set up in october 2!!! I am exciting too!!
 
I was wondering if anyone knows how long the interview day lasts? I'm curious if I should set up my return flight for the same day I scheduled to interview in the evening, or wait until the day after.

It's supposed to go until 5 and the airport is about 15ish minutes away
 
Interview invite offered yesterday! They called me last week to let me know that my app was complete and was forwarded to the adcom. 🙂

I got a call from them last week but never called back because I knew that it was probably the application complete phone call. Should I actually call back?

I think it doesn't matter if you don't call back. I missed that application complete phone call last Tuesday as well. I didn't call back but still got my interview invite yesterday.

You're completely right because I just got the email for an interview invite an hour ago! Still deciding what date to choose

Choose your date quick! The date I was thinking of was full a few hours after I received the email!
 
For those with interviews, did the "status" in your Nova portal ever change?

In the table showing "requirements - received date - status", is your status still blank for all requirements?

If I'm looking in the correct place, no it has not been updated even though I have an interview.
 
I got an interview invite today! super excited!!! Mine is for October 8th 😀🙂

It's only the first month. It's way too early to be worrying.
 
Going on October 16th. Anyone else worried about how to get from their hotel room to the administration building?
 
Got a call saying my app was complete and being forwarded to the admissions committee yesterday and received an interview invite via email today! So excited :soexcited:Will be picking the date later today

Looking at the 2018 and 2017 threads, a lot of people recommend the Hampton Inn Plantation and Courtyard Plantation. Both offer free breakfast and a free shuttle to/from the airport and NSU campus

Thanks for this info! Does this mean the hotels have a shuttle to and from the airport?
 
Yes, but call the hotel to verify since that info is based off info from last year.

I don't want to speak on behalf of Nova but I think generally most schools won't consider your application complete without the scores. So to answer your question, yes mine were in before my invite. Do you know when yours will be sent in?

Thanks! I won't be taking it until August 20th.. the interviews are filling up so quickly!!

I was just confused because I got the call about my app being complete and sent to the review board.. I asked about needing DAT scores and he said that they could still send invites without it but I didn't think he was too sure so idk..

When i interviewed they accommodated students who had evening flights. They offered to let those students interview first.

I think I was done at 2 or 3.

hmm thats pretty helpful, but I'm taking a flight back at 7pm that day so I don't think it will matter much for me =P
 
For anyone who went to the predental summit this past weekend, how was it?!
 
I have a 4:45 flight and Norma said it shouldn't be an issue.
 
I got the call last week that they had processed all of my materials for the committee, but Nova doesn't show up on my "decisions" portal on AADSAS -- is this the case for anyone else?

It doesn't show on mine either. I think that's normal.

Date: November 6th, because @BrazilianRider already booked the 7th 😉

Oh, and for anyone who was wondering- they do NOT have to have your official DAT scores to invite you to interview. Mine still haven't been uploaded to AADSAS.

I have the same GPA and slightly lower DAT scores (21AA/20TS/21PAT) and haven't heard back from Nova, but I submitted my secondary July 14th.
Should I be starting to get worried? I'm OOS

I was pretty surprised myself. Maybe they are only booking a limited number of interviews since it is still so early. How far are you from Nova?
