Nova will be accepting applications for the grad loan plus on 4/18/19 and this is what covers living expenses. You go to studentloans.gov and the lady from financial aid told me to apply for the max amount for dates 7-19 to 7-20 school year. she also told me that most students give back some of the aid they get because it's more than what they need.

Hi! I believe its open file for everyone, but don't worry about it they make you feel comfortable and want to know more about your personality than your academics. If you get an interview, your grades are enough. They want to see how would you interact with patients. Just make sure to add why would you be a good candidate and why do you think you are good fit specifically for Nova.
Thanks so much for the answer! 🙂

Thanks GNRD93!

Present D1 Tuition + other costs enclosed. The tuition portion is split into 3 semesters, you have a deadline to pay once you register which is 1 month but before classes start otherwise there is a late fee. You can contact financial aid manager assigned to the HPD students and she will explain everything.

IMPORTANT for incoming students: get your vaccinations done before classes start

I've been hearing alot of negative things about the program recently...is this something you guys are worried about?

The negative things you guys are hearing are facts not rumors, however, no patient is going to ask you which dental school you graduated from nor do they really care.

Become a good dentist. If Nova is your only choice, go. If not, I'd go somewhere else.
Don't worry about it too much. Focus on yourself and do what you have to do

I would not worry about rumors and negative things!! Before I started dentistry everyone I knew from a dental school told me that the program is very, very hard. Maybe some people are not expecting this level of intensity, hard work, stress and lack of sleep. In any dental school you spend all of your time in class, lab or studying , you are constantly exhausted and you are praying that you pass. I hear this from dental students from any university as well as from Nova. Just be prepared to give up your life for the next 4 years. For me it is worth as I want to be a dentist.
Also at NOVA there are some professors who really care about students (like Dr. Lippman) .

Do not stress now but be ready for a hard year ahead no matter which dental school.

Since the new application is about to start, I'm looking for any tips for NSU. Ive noticed there is a Pre-dental weekend that costs $200. Wondering if any of you recommend it?

Honestly I think it’s a waste of $200. I went to NSU for undergrad and had friends who went and told me they regretted paying that much money. You can def get in with out it!

I would say go if you have the money and have never gone to a Pre-dental Day type event. However, do not go if you think it will help you get in. I was OOS and was accepted to NSU (without having attended their event). To each their own, right?

Can anyone speak to how many in state / out of state students they let in? I have looked all over their website but the statistic is not there and my "blue book" from ADEA is a couple years old.

These schools are really trying to look clever with the way they report tuition costs. You basically gotta include fees and instruments to get the true cost.

There are few of D1s that have D1 books for sale at discounted prices.
We verified with the office CDM that books from this D1 are all the same as for incoming D1.
Let me know if anyone want to buy a set of D1 texbooks (paper copies)
Yes I want to buy a set. I'm unable to pm you

Good luck ! Let me know if you need any info re NOVA’s interview. I am D1 at NOVA
Hey! I got an interview for this year. I would really appreciate any advice from you. Tried to message you, but it doesn’t let me.

Does it make sense to fly into miami, stay with a friend in miami and uber to the interview? or should I just get a hotel/airbnb
