Anyone from the 12/1 interview get a notification (acceptance/reject)?

same... anyone think its a good idea to call Dr.Mejia? When I initially called her - I was able to get a good response from her. What do you think ?
 
When did you guys submit your applications? I haven't heard anything from them and I submitted in August

I don't think it would hurt. I'm gonna call her tomorrow to see what's up. I'm so sad 🙁

I just called. She said it all comes down to volume. They have over 4000 applicants and they cant interview everyone. So theres no going back

Ugh! Well thanks for finding that out for us. Hopefully, some other schools will give us a chance!

Tuition is not that bad, though Room and Board is quite pricy.
Arizona gives you 13,000 for room and board
 
Just got the acceptance email at 1230 today! I was in the 12/7 interview group
 
How was everyone's interview? I thought mine went pretty well, but I got waitlisted.
 
I am also confuse. Why is there so many interview invites post December if the class is probably close to full and a whole bunch of people on the waitlist? When do they start pulling people from here?
 
I got my acceptance today from the 12/10 group! Anybody else from that day around here? Everyone from my group was SO nice!!
 
It might be because their stats were higher. Then interviewer only recommends the student, then the committee looks over

DAT (AA/TS/PAT/Reading/any section below a 17): 22/22/22/23/none

I'm a non-trad after doing Teach For America and just had a lot of EC's and around 3,000 hours dental experience from being an assistant/patient care coordinator at a low-income clinic in San Francisco. My managing dentist (who wrote my LOE) and lead associate dentist are NYU alumns, as well. So my app had a lot surrounding pretty average stats.

Congratulations to everyone who has received an interview or been accepted! I have an interview early January and was wondering if anyone could discuss what the interview is like and what type of style it is? Conversational? Situation based questions? Etc. I'd appreciate the help as I have only had one interview so far and have quite a few coming up.
 
Got my acceptance e-mail at 7:09 pm! I can't wait to be back in NYC! Anyone else from 12/11 interview get in?
 
Also, sorry if this is a silly question but we were told during the interview about confirming your attendance. Do they mean on AADSAS? I'm sort of confused by that.
 
Anyone know or have any idea when they start taking people off the waitlist?

GPA: 3.3, Science GPA ~3.15
I had an upward curve to my GPA which I think helps.

DAT: AA: 20, TS: 20
About 68 hours of shadowing and also some volunteering experience.

I think that will come from the acceptance packet and deposit? That would be my best guess. 🙂 I'm super excited!!! NYU was secretly my top choice, haha.

Should we also sent any form along with the deposit?? (I am waiting to receive the package as I just got notified yesterday!!)
