changed to what? as previously mentioned, there have been changes back to received/under review.

what does your say?
 
well i interviewed in september and it has been "under review" since then. I was wondering if anyone that got accepted today would have a status change prior to receiving the call?
 
I was just in the academic affairs office to pay my student fees 👎 and the admissions committee is meeting today from 10am-2pm (assuming it takes the entire time). They will likely start calling this afternoon or early tomorrow morning at the latest. Best of luck to all of you! 😀

I was wondering the same thing. At this point though I still feel like no news is good news.
 
I just did insanity to get my mind off of this...only to find out still no news!

I got the call that I was accepted to UNC around 3:30pm on 1/30/13.

YAY! I've been in lab or I would've posted sooner. I had the 1/12/13 interview. The call was not from my interviewer, so they may still be in meetings making some serious decisions. My call was from a UNC dental student I'm close to. The fact that my call didn't come from an interviewer or a faculty/staff member makes me feel like it's a unique situation and no one should take this to mean anything regarding your acceptance. Or at least that is how I would look at it until you hear differently. Remember, last year calls continued for at least two days after the initial admissions committee meeting. There is A LOT of time left.
There are no changes to my AADSAS portal or the AADSAS mobile portal. Both still say "Received/Under Review" and I haven't noticed any changes today.

Congrats!

One of my friends told me someone from my UG got in today.



I wouldn't worry terribly about not getting a call tonight if only a couple of people are reporting it. I didn't get mine for 2 days after some of my friends got theirs.
 
I was really hoping I might get a call tonight. I'm preparing to board a flight to Tufts and I was hoping I could cancel it.
 
I got an acceptance call this afternoon from my interviewer. He had originally called my home phone, rather than my cell phone (as I am still in school). He said the admissions committee met around 1pm today to verify all of their decisions. I had previously been in contact with him via email about the process so maybe that's why he notified me so soon. Super excited though! Good luck!
 
around 2 or 3 I think...my other interviewer called me at 9 something tonight too
 
Any update today guys? They can't be done with acceptances yet right?
 
There are already 82 people on Facebook page. Sigh.

i heard there was a meeting yesterday so i thought i would just call and find out any thing i could. im so stoaked!!!!
 
i wouldnt worry about he facebook group.

i checked yesterday around 3pm and there was 75 people. and 1 was added yesterday. 74 of them were added ~2-3 months ago.
 
im nervous i interviewed back in september- should i call? or doe sthat look bad on my part?
 
welp i just called and carolyn just said "people that are accepted are being notified by phone call. People that are waitlisted or denied will be notified by mail." "they are currently in the process of notifying people.

They didn't tell you about your status even if you called? Arghhh okay, let's keep our fingers crossed!

well I asked for my personal status but Carolyn said that she wouldnt know that since she isnt the one calling....not very helpful
 
they'll leave a voicemail if you cant get to your phone? in class at the time without service 👎

According to the admissions office this person is trolling. I think it is very convenient they cannot remember the person they spoke with. Carolyn and Terri Have both confirmed that only the admissions committee has that information and they are currently in the process of making phone calls.
 
whoaa... sorry if i couldnt remember who i talked to.. i called the admissions office, and someone answered the phone. I told them my name and they took a minute to look me up and then they told me i could expect some news today. i figured that since they sent rejections/waitlists by mail, then it would be a phone call and that i was accepted.

Well saying you are accepted and figuring that you are accepted are very different things. I do indeed hope you get a phone call and that it is good news! But saying you called and were told you were accepted is misleading. Good luck to everyone who interviewed. The suspense is killing me.
 
The facebook group is made up of both class of 2017 students who were admitted in December AND D1s and D2s. There are still a lot of open seats available in the class.
 
So do you think those waitlist or rejection emails will be sent out today as well for those who aren't getting acceptance calls? ><

just got the call from the dentist that i interviewed with. good luck!
 
I got a call yesterday evening around 8:15 pm from one of my interviewers. I had the October interview date. I would be very surprised if they weren't making more phone calls today. Don't give up hope yet!
 
So obviously people are being accepted right now by phone.

Has anyone been rejected/wait listed by email? Or does that part happen after all of the calls go out?
 
rejections go out by mail. you'll probably get them by next monday or so. but it usually pops up on aadsas before snail mail.

the same might go for waitlist. but i dont have experience with that. lol (just rejection!)

Last year they updated AADSAS statuses to waitlisted/rejected approx. 1 week after acceptance calls were made. There weren't any emails sent out for rejections, I can't speak for the waitlisters.
