***The Official University of Colorado Class of 2024 Interview/Acceptance Thread***

To those who have received interviews, did y'all get an application complete email, or did your status just change to "Received/under review"?

I got an "application received" email as well as the status change.

Interview on 9/16 here and I’m from Florida !

Just got an interview invite today (Florida resident). Stoked about it!
And they said Colorado wouldn't give you an interview because they dont like applicants turning down previous acceptances. Prove them all wrong dude.

And you are their first round pick, so your chance of acceptance is very high.

Does anyone know if their supplemental can be submitted after picking an interview day? I am currently away from my laptop

Good luck to everyone!

do you receive an email that says your application is complete after the initial supplemental fee payment?

I did not get another email stating the app was complete. Simply the email with a link to the supplemental and confirmation that it was paid (upon payment of course). The next email I received was the interview invite.

Thanks for the support! I really appreciate it! Hoping it goes well

I haven’t seen like any in state interviews.... All these posts are out of state.

Does anyone know if there is a specific date they send out interviews to instate students? I talked to a dental student there and she said when she applied 2 years ago they reserved August 25th for instate interview invites.

I'm in state too

Me too! I just posted this!

I hope it’s soon, do they always do the majority of out of state first than in state?

i meant to say that i’m in state and received an interview already. My app was marked complete on July 15th and i got the invite about two weeks ago

Does anyone know if the interviewing style is 1-on-1?

Interviews last year were 2 10-minutes each one on one sessions with various members from the faculty. It was closed file aside from your personal statement. It’s a very welcoming environment!

A bit off the topic of interviews...does anyone know anything worthwhile to check out in Denver with a limited timeframe in the area? I'll be flying in/out the day before/after my interview and would like to at least explore the area a little bit besides just the dental school. On that note, how likely is the high elevation to affect someone who's been living at sea level their entire life? (Me, I am that someone) Should I take any steps to be ready for my interview the day after I fly in to avoid any negative effects?

I live in Florida (below sea level) and have been fine with elevation, so you'll be fine. I went to Montana which is the same elevation and went hiking on my second day there and was completely fine. If you're relatively in shape you should be ok, i think sometimes elevation just affects those more who have pre-existing medical issues.

Just stay as hydrated as possible. You may feel slight effects but as long as you drink plenty of water you should be fine

I am wondering the same thing in terms of what would be good to check out while there. I planned a little extra time to explore!

Regarding the elevation, in my experience the effects arent very noticeable until much higher elevations. For me I felt some fatigue at 10-11k feet, even 8k wasnt noticeable. Depends on fitness level but yes definitely stay hydrated if its a concern but I doubt going on a moderate hike will really have a major impact. Fun fact, when I was in Peru at 15k ft I could barely walk it was so bad...

My status changed from Received/Under Review to Received/Waiting Additional Information a week ago and hasn't changed since. My app was complete since June. Has this happened to anyone else? Just wondering before I call the admissions office.

Just finished interviewing (I think we were first batch)
Very relaxed interviews and the catering was amazing - they over-ordered Panera bread products (salads, sandwiches, cookies, etc)
Good luck guys!!

I would say check out the Lodo and RiNo areas, lost of restaurants and breweries. Try to go to a Rockies game too.

What is the interview schedule like for Colorado (how many interviews were there?) ? Also is there a chance to have lunch/meet the current students or are all the interactions solely with the adcom/faculty?

You'll have 2 back to back 30 minute interviews after lunch. During lunch, you can mingle with current students for about an hour.

Just finished up today. The school is incredibly beautiful and technologically advanced. Faculty was super chill. Both Interviews were easy and I wasn’t challenged on my answers. But there were some ethical questions asked. Some common sense will do. Couldn’t ask for a better experience!

no interview :/ but I did receive the mock day email from Crystal
