I have a 9/25 interview, just wondering about the google.doc sheet with the classes. After we fill it out, do we just leave it alone, or do we attach it as an email? just curious.

btw im OOS.

you must:
1. complete the spreadsheet 2 weeks prior to your scheduled interview, and
simply 2. leave it 😀

I'm curious what you guys think about the prerequisite google docs. I never took a class with the label "sociology". I didn't list taking that class in my plans when I filled out my primary application so I wonder if they already accepted one of my other classes towards that prerequisite or if they expect me to take it before May 1st.. Do you guys think abnormal psych or creative arts could take its place?

I've talked to them about this. The class must clearly have to word sociology in the name and/or be given by the sociology department.

I asked about this too, also, if it is in a "gray area" you can email and attach the syllabus of the course along with any official description and leave a note on your spreadsheet indicating that you have done so. Better to call first though.

Any one know if the regular English classes everyone takes in college count for the English prerequisite or do they want an upper level?

I think it's whatever English courses you need to graduate for your specific school, and also a "writing-intensive" course

So.. At what point should someone be worried about not getting an interview invitation to Michigan? Do they typically send out most/all of their interviews at once? Or how late could it be before one could get an interview invite?

I'm OOS, application sent and complete on July 24th
GPA: 3.93, DAT: aa 22, pat 20
~100 shadowing hours
Research, scholarships, extra curriculars, and volunteering all competative

Wondering the same thing...

Agreed. I have basically the same stats as you btw, so I guess we'll find out..last year there was another wave that got released for this coming up week..so maybe we will get the invite!

If you look at the past year, students were still getting invites in October.

Also, regarding the "Received/Completed" status on AADSAS, I emailed them (toward the end of August) and they said that my application is actually with the admissions committee for review (and I submitted really early in June). Looking at the previous year, students also mentioned having that status changed to "Under Review" around late September or October (not sure if that actually means anything though). So, I guess we should just be patient. Still, it would be nice to get an interview soon (I find myself exhausting the refresh button)...

I received an email on Mon., Sept 14 that was application was received and complete. From those in previous years, I heard that admissions got back to them in back in 1-2 weeks of their complete date.

When did you guys here back about you apps being under review?

I submitted my app on June 9th and I am an in-state resident. I had the completion email sent in early july, should I be worried? I haven't received an interview yet I called the admissions office and they said it is still under review 🙁((

sorry for the excessive posts, it was saying there was an error when I clicked submit.

Thank you Michigan for getting my hopes up with the " Your application has been processed and is ready for review" email, instead of a straight interview or rejection.....

Guys, don't freak out if you haven't received an interview invite yet. Last year I got my invite the first week of November and was still able to schedule a pre-December interview.
this just gave me so much relief

Ahh! Mine is on the 2nd of October, did u stay at a hotel? If so how much and where? If you don't mind.
stayed at a hotel called microtel for $80. it was a 15 minute drive to the school, not the best hotel but not terrible either. they have shuttles to ann arbor

I go to michigan undergrad and was talking to other pre-dental students and they said that michigan is going really slow this year
Same! I have friends who applied mid-June and heard back from admissions by August. I'm just over here twiddling my thumbs

Does anyone know what days of the week do Michigan interviews on?

just saw this and wanted to share 🙂

How long did it take some of you to be put under review? I got an email stating that my app was compete on 9/14. Still waiting...patiently, but more anxiously, for that "under review" notification.

Yes I would love an answer to this question and a follow up.

After they mark your application as under review how long did some of you have to wait to hear back about an interview?

My AADSAS never had its status changed to "Under Review."

Just got an invite, but I can't make that date because of another interview. Think they'd let me reschedule?
Congrats! Did you get one yesterday? I've been dying to hear back from them....

My app's been complete since Aug 6, so I'm hoping they notify me!

I literally just got an invite like 20 minutes ago... My app changed from Complete to review a couple days ago to if that is of any help.
The staff are very friendly! I don't see them refusing, but can you reschedule the other interview if they gave you multiple dates?

Good luck? Umich interview was my favorite but also the longest! It tops my state school. Get enough sleep and you'll do great!!
