**The Official UoP c/o 2019 Interview/Acceptance Thread** -(2015/2016 Cycle)

Received an interview invite today!!! I'm so stoked!! Missed the call, so going to call back tomorrow.

-4/10-someone accepted off waitlist
-7/29-someone accepted off waitlist

C/O 2017
-someone interviewed 4/4 and they told them they would get some kind of news around 10 business days or later
-4/11 someone got rejected after the interview
-4/17 couple ppl got waitlisted
-5/3-when the rankings came out
-5/6 someone rejected/someone else said class is full and everyone paid deposits
-noone else responded saying they got in on this thread....

C/O 2018
-4/29 list of alternates went out
-5/28 someone who was second quartile got in

Sorry for the questions, but I am going to have to spend about a grand to attend this interview and want to know if there's still a good shot at getting a spot .

I was just notified the class is full and was given an alternate spot :/

Last cycle they accepted a bunch of people well into the 4th quartile. But then again, I don't think they interviewed as late as they are this year.

Oh really? I interviewed 2/11 too. I called admissions on Friday to ask about my status and they said I was still under review but they did not mention the class being full. Bummer.

Nope...still no news. Application is still "Received/Under Review" on AADSAS
gpa:3.18
AA: 21 PAT: 28
SC residency.
 
Was just invited for an interview on the 11th! Hope there's at least a slight chance being this late in the cycle lol. There is one more interview on the 18th for those who are wondering.

~3.6 overall and ~3.5 science; 21 in every section

Thank you. Yeah I was pretty surprised. They did miss my deposit that I sent in July, so they didn't start reviewing my application until late October when I called them about it. It might have caused this super late date or not.

Declined my lifetime dream school yesterday :bigtears:. My S/O got accepted to a early start hygiene program near my other acceptance so had to fully commit.

Good luck guys, I hope one of you guys gets the spot!
 
For those who had an interview for an alternate seat, when did they say the list would be made? The end of April right?
Also they said the second deposit was due April 15th, correct?

They said the alternate list would be made by last week or April or first week of may! And yes the second deposit was due April 15th.
 
Stan said last week of May during my interview on the 11th. I hope this was a mistake lol.
 
It'd definitely make more sense if it were late April/early May though, especially since today is the last interview and the last deposit was due on the 15th . End of May is in like forever.
 
Alternate list... Not surprised since that's what they told us to expect

Congrats! You still have a really good chance of getting in if you made it on the Alternate list! Did they notify you today? When did you interview?
 
Do people even get rejected from UoP after they interview there? I've tried looking through all the UoP threads from previous years and I haven't seen any rejections-after-interview. So does everyone who interviewed basically all make it on the alternate list?

I think on last year's (or the year before that) thread someone got rejected after an interview.

Edit: Found it on the Class of 2017's thread near the end.

Got waitlisted on Wednesday and then got the call on Friday that I was admitted! Best of luck to all of you!

Ya haha it happened really quick but I wouldn't have had it any other way! Don't lose hope. I almost did and I'm so glad I didn't. Good luck!!
