I don't understand what their undergrad has to do with their dental school... It's not like they're just letting anyone into their dental school even if their undergrad has a high acceptance rate; they have an average DAT score of 22.5-23 which is among the highest in the country. The one thing I can agree with you on is the cost of attendance, yes it is high and far from ideal, but that is the reality of most dental schools in the country now and I don't have the stats to get into a low cost school OOS or UCSF/UCLA.

I was trying to hit two points with one post. I just don't believe UOP overall as an institution in the last 10-15 years is acting with the students' best interests in mind. I'm not trying to insult you or anyone going to UOP or alumni. Getting just one acceptance to any dental school is a huge step in the right direction. I'm happy you're done applying and will be a first year soon. My message is mainly directed towards people who have a choice to make.

It must be exhausting trying to keep up with all your lies. Maybe you should focus on your own life instead of making up stories. so your dream dental school isn't keeping you busy? or is it because you don't have any friends because you are a hot mess.

It’s disappointing to see you someone allegedly studying to be doctor acting a bitter fool. The profession is supposed to be about caring for others, not tearing them down. But hey, maybe spreading negativity is good practice for the patient care part -- is that what you're learning at your dream school? now, go scratch and leave.

I'm actually not exhausted at all since I rarely need to lie. I'm definitely not jealous since I also got accepted to UOP among other dental schools several years ago lol. Not sure how that part keeps getting misunderstood. Also, I haven't personally insulted anyone with any of my posts but you keep making aggressive attacks towards me because I'm saying unflattering things about this one school. I genuinely wish the best for you and your brother and I'm confused by your intensely bitter reaction directed at me.

To anyone who has a choice to make, feel free to reference my previous posts about the school because I have been silenced in the past by some admins not allowing me to repost. Freedom of speech is a big deal for good reason.

I also haven't posted or logged in since 2022 because admins kept deleting my posts for some reason.

When a user posts the same message year after year in multiple threads, those duplicated messages are deleted and the user is notified why. If you still aren't sure why they got deleted, reach out to the admin team and we'll help you get it sorted out!

To everyone else, take what you see/read with a grain of salt, especially from users that are currently in the cycle as well as users that state they graduated years ago and still have an axe to grind about a school they didn't attend. This thread is to help applicants stay informed about interviews/acceptances for UoP so let's keep it on topic with posts relevant to that. Thanks!

Waitlisted two weeks ago and haven’t heard anything yet

I was able to get a hold of someone and asked about waitlists. They told me they are not done interviewing and cannot confirm how many seats are left or whether they anticipate waitlist movement. It didn't really seem like a letter of intent would make a difference, at least based on the vibe I got from the admissions person. They did mention that the outcomes could be acceptance this cycle, guaranteed acceptance next cycle without an interview, an interview next cycle, or nothing. If I remember correctly, they also said that the admissions committee has not met yet, so they really have no answers. Also, their second deposit is not until May (they might do things a bit diff from other schools) :/

Thank you! My situation was unique but they will call either way and you will receive an email stating you were accepted. As for the acceptance date, I will update my post later on to help future applicants since the class is almost full and it would be pretty easy to identify who is who at this point. IIRC the group chat has about 142 students now and the second deposit date is supposed to be due so there might potentially be even more movement soon. There are also quite a few people on the waitlist which seems to be more than what was reported in previous years on SDN (though only admissions knows from year to year).

Also, I can confirm what was reported previously with admissions providing three options (guaranteed admission for next cycle, guaranteed interview, or simply "good luck" i.e. no guarantees); that is, if you are not an alternate and get in after someone drops in the first bit of classes starting. Good luck and hope you're able to get in as well!
