**** The Official USC Class of 2017 Interview/Acceptance Thread ****

I interviewed around the same time as aznboi89x, and yet I have "no records..."
 
I think I got rejected becuz why would they go thru the effort of changing yalls status? I'm rejected so congrats guys

I really wonder if it means an acceptance. Do you mind sharing your stats and residency state? Mine's
3.65 oGPA, 3.7 sGPA, 23AA/23TS/20PAT, TX. I think USC favors in-state more than out of state. 2/3 of their class is in-state.

I would think they are not looking at GPA/DAT only, some people have MS degree, some dental volunteering/shadowing/work expereince, and of course interview itself could impact stats/ranking in USC.. not sure how they do their ranking... hopefully we will hear something next week...
 
aznboi, are you sure you are talking about the USC portal? because on my AADSAS portal, it says waitlist, but on the usc portal it says "doesn't exist". Just wanted to mention this just in case you were looking at the wrong thing and down on it by accident.


Also, does ANYONE else have the "waitlist/alternate" still for the usc portal??? because if EVERYONE else who is still waiting has the "doesn't exist label" than it might just have been an accident that aznboi's wasn't updated, and this whole thing might not mean anything at all. However, if other people still have the "waitlist" sign, then this might be good news for the some of us.

Both portals show alternate and waitlist
 
It seems as if everyone has "doesn't exist". On the other hand, the class is only 50% full, and so they could be sending out 70-ish acceptances.
 
...Alternate/Wait Listed on usc portal, and wait listed on ADEA, well maybe we will here more about it Monday
 
I interviewed on the 26th and mine says wait list. Hard to say what it means honestly and no point in getting your hopes up in case it is just an error. Plus there is still too small of a sample size here to determine if "everyone" has no record

Lol, I was just making sure if we're talking about the same thing (pre-dental admission).
 
So since Friday my USC portal said, "Sorry there are no records of your application."

But I just checked again this morning, and it went through, saying my application is "Under Review"

I interviewed March 13th. Anyone else seeing this?

Mine still says alternate
Someone should call and ask what these statuses really mean
 
I called Ryan and he said they are fixing the website so under review and alternate is the same. rounds of acceptances go out this week!

did you ask if class is still 50% full or 75%?

my usc portal went from "no records" this weekend to "under review" this morning, and now it shows "alternate/waitlist".

lol that glimpse of hope was short-lived but oh well =).

anyways, just wanted to wish everyone good luck. For those that are reading this thread on the forums, you guys are probably just as excited/nervous/hopeful of hearing back from usc as I am. And I know everyone has worked really hard to get to this point, so I just wanted to wish everyone the best of luck.

At this point, the only thing we can do is stay positive until we hear the results. And, for those of us who don't get in, it just wasn't meant to be (sounds cliche i know), and it might not make sense at first because we really wanted to get in, but later down the road we'll be glad why things happened the way they did.

Called again to confirm, the class is 50%

Didn't speak to Ryan, it was one of the other Admissions Staff, but she said she still doesn't know when decisions for this batch will be released. Hopefully towards the end of the week.

Yeah, I talked to them as well and they are waiting for the committee to release the list.
 
aznboi89 , why did you think that people who got the message " no record... " are accepted and people who got still waitlisted are not accepted ???

It takes more effort to change from waitlisted to "no record"? It was probably just a glitch though.

Looks like we should all just take a chill pill and go to the beach LOL. We could keep guessing all day long. Does no good, huh! It will all work out, no sense getting panic

aznboi89x, totally agree. I did speak to Ryan this week and he said that towards the end of this week.

bigfish1011, they may have told you May so that people will stop calling them and asking them. I bet they've been bombarded with calls all week
 
@aznboi89x: Just wondering; are you still waiting for USC acceptance? Based on your signature, it seems like you have decided on Cornell..

cornell doesnt have a dental school.... its a joke sig
 
i don't think cornell dental school exists...

edit: nvm. aznboi has already answered it.
 
oh wow... ok.. lol! I always thought Cornell has a dental school, but not participating in AADSAS. I googled "Cornell dental school" in the past and a site came out, so I just assume it exist. Now, after a closer look, it's actually more of a pre-dental bachelor degree.. XD dang you... haha
 
I think it'll be this Friday. They've been sending out the rounds on Fridays for past 3 rounds.
 
also, just to clear something up, someone here had no record of their file and is now "wait listed", so it was their system that was messed up. aznboi called and i believe he said they were trying to fix their site
