Yes I have one too. The hand written letter will eventually get to everybody via snail mail. It was very nice.Anybody else get a postcard from the Student Ambassador they talked with? Thought it was a very cool gesture lolol.
Good luck guys! Dec 1st coming up soon!
If I didn't get one does that mean my student abassador forgot about me I interviewed on Nov 12thYes I have one too. The hand written letter will eventually get to everybody via snail mail. It was very nice.
Well, it is possible that the student forgot or mistakes happened during the transit. It took about 2 weeks to get to me by snail mail. Why don't you give them a few more days and if the missing letter really bothers you, you should ask the school directly. I can't give you the right answer. As far as I know some of the people I talked on the interview, every single of them got the letter, some much earlier than I did. I wasn't really concerned when didn't get the letter, because I knew that the letter doesn't indicate or play any role on someone's chance of acceptance. If I didn't get one does that mean my student ambassador forgot about me I interviewed on Nov 12th
Thanks for your reply🙂 it's ok I'm not going to contact the school about it, I was just being dramatic about not receiving one!Well, it is possible that the student forgot or mistakes happened during the transit. I had an interview but didn't receive that email.Just got an email saying that my application has undergone the first review and is going under the multilevel evaluation process. Did those of you who had received interviews get this email beforehand?
Just got that email too, no interview, OOS.
OOS as wellJust got that email too, no interview, OOS.
I got that one too, when I just submitted my primary application. I think the email many of us just received might be a "still being considered" email, though given USC's large applicant pool I'm not getting my hopes too high up.I interviewed in October - never received an email with those exact words. The email I got stated exactly (copy and pasted) "You may be assured that your application will receive our highest processing priority and be subjected to a thorough and thoughtful review." although I think this just means application received
Thanks, it's a highly overpriced school. Would be nice for an acceptance, but if there's any other acceptance I'm sure anyone would choose the other option.I got that one too, when I just submitted my primary application. Congrats on your interview btw
Soo did everyone get that email today or is it just for the applicants that will be reviewed next?? I don't know what to take from the e-mail lolJust got an email saying that my application has undergone the first review and is going under the multilevel evaluation process. I could be crazy but I'm kind of confused as to why people say that USC is so much more expensive... I think is a little more expensive than the other private schools (Western, Loma Linda, Midwestern Arizona) but is generally in the same range. I believe it's about 8k more each year which is not that much more expensive considering the total cost of dental school. Don't get me wrong, I would maybe choose an in-state public school with a cheaper cost but in CA Ucla and ucsf are probably two of the hardest schools to get into in the country. And yeah I think it's a crime that tuition has gone up so much in the past 10 years (doubled?) but this is for all schools not just USC.... Thoughts anyone? Thanks, it's a highly overpriced school. I agree. I know dental students there who had multiple acceptances but still chose to go to USC. When I said it's an overpriced school, I was putting it in comparison to the schools I'm applying to. The schools I've interviewed at range from 250-350 with cost of living. USC is 150k more than the other most expensive schools on my list.. I can imagine that's why other people say it's expensive, people complain about Midwestern as well, as they shouldI could be crazy but I'm kind of confused as to why people say that USC is so much more expensive... Gotcha, I guess comparing to all of the other schools I'm applying to it isn't a huge difference but 150K is a big difference! When I said it's an overpriced school, I was putting it in comparison to the schools I'm applying to. Yeah haha, when you compare it to the choices you applied to then it makes a difference. Screw all these expensive schoolsGotcha, I guess comparing to all of the other schools I'm applying to it isn't a huge difference but 150K is a big difference!
I think they wait list everyone not accepted thoughWait Listed
Regular portal is unchanged but mobile portal says "Wait Listed"
Wait listed is better than a flat out rejection. The Wait Listed status might even change to an acceptance... last year a few people had their mobile portal say "Wait Listed" and then later that day they received an acceptance email.

waitlisted too
any news from USC?
We just have to be patient. I know that statement doesn't boost the spirit, but look back on how far we've come. We have what it takes and we are passionate about this career. The dental schools recognize this and they simply need more time to find us in a sea of applicants!I hate that saying "no news is good news" I can't take it anymore, wait listed is not good news its anxiety inducing news 🙁……….
Aww thanks!! Yep we just have to wait it out 🙂 and I giggled at that picture of the skeleton lolWe just have to be patient.
