I could be wrong of course! But I remember them saying they would make 50 offers on December 1st and the next date they made offers would be February 1st so I assume that only 50 have been made

My interview was at the end of November and I haven't been accepted! I'm hoping that I hear some good news on February 1st. They told us in the interview (at least from what I remember) that December 1st was going to be the first round of 50 offers. Then February 1st was going to be the next round plus however many spots were open from anyone in the first 50 not accepting offers.
 
Can some people who already had interviews share their interview experiences please? Also, for the interviews that will be conducted in February, are these for waitlist positions, or will there be seats remaining out of their 144 seats for those that interview in February?
 
For those of you who have to fly to interview Feb, do you guys think it is worth the money since the school only accepts 33 people March 1st?

33 is a lot for this late in the cycle.... especially if you don't have any acceptances....

We started out with a presentation about the school and then broke into groups for a mock PBL session. In those groups, you go around and answer two ice breaker questions. One is more about you and the other relates more to dental school. Then you do the PBL session which was straightforward- they aren't trying to trick you with anything. Then you have a writing assignment. They give you a piece of paper and everyone has a different question and they give you time to complete it. You have lunch with students, go to a financial aid info sesh and then get a tour of the school. I was there from 9- 4:30 so it was a pretty long day but it made a lasting impression on me- loved it!
 
I got an interview email last Friday and I was wondering if anyone is having problem with opening up the dropbox... I have not been able to open the DDS Interview Docs yet due to dropbox issue. If someone can let me know how to open this... that would be great. Thank you!

Are there any people here who have gotten acceptances here with a low sGPA below 3.2? I have a sGPA that falls below that and I received an interview invite and i'm just wondering if they tend to accept a variety of people

HAHA when are you flying in? I'm coming from Portland so I'll be there for just less than 24 hours since it is such a short flight

Can any current USC dental students comment on the effectiveness of PBL learning style? Also note the disadvantages/advantages of this type of learning and what makes it difficult or not?

This concerns me when it comes down to having to take boards. Will students be prepared? If you know, could you please note the boards Part I passing rate for USC?
 
Anyone know if this is the 36 acceptances due for Feb 1st?

I got accepted today via email as well! I'm debating between USC and UIC. Both have PBL learning style, so I'm not struggling with that. Can anybody comment on the general learning environment/living style/how well USC prepare you to become a dentist? Any comments are greatly appreciated!

I would say UIC cause it's a much cheaper school compared to USC,which is one of the expensive schools
