For those who received an invite and got the secondary application how did you guys answer the special interest part. Are they asking about special interests in dentistry or just in general...?

When do you think next batch of USC interviews will be coming out?
 
Just recieved an invite! OOS:TX. How is the interview and how should i prepare for it?

I got mine last Tuesday along with many other people, and lots of people got it today soooooo I think next Tuesday will be their next batch! Plus most of the days they offered were Tuesdays, so I guess USC just really likes Tuesdays lol. Only 6 days to go until next Tuesday! Hope you hear good news.

haha no kidding! Yeah, I just had my interview there earlier this month. Do you know which date you are going to schedule it for? They gave me four choices in November.

My work schedule is killing me I can not do it the 16th so its going to have to be the later days what about you?

I'm going to call in tomorrow and see if I can schedule it for the 16th. I wonder how many spots they have left for that day.

It's crazy because the airport is like an hour from the school and plane ticket prices are insane this month. What is your method of getting there?

Honestly I’m not completely sure at the moment. I just received the invite like a couple hours ago. So I haven’t had much time to think or plan. I’d really like to Uber just cuz it’s so much less complicated than a rental car. I’m pretty sure there’s a bus of some sort that also transports from the school to the airport and what not. Have you read anything specifically regarding the interview? I’m not sure if I understood correctly, but it appeared that the actual interview is a group interview? Is that what you have gathered? Like there isn’t a part where we are interviewed by ourselves?
 
For anyone who's interviewed how was the group interview? I heard the interview is more high stress but if I can get some feedback I'd greatly appreciate it!
 
Does USC only conduct PBL instead of regular interviews?

Problem Based Learning. You are given a scenario and your goal is to research and try to understand it. A general process of going about it is presented in one of the documents they sent you in along with the interview invite.

Also, does anyone know whether USC accept a lot of their interviewees? It's my first and only interview so far and I really want to get in
 
I will be interviewing November 30 and will be here early november 29. If anyone is down to hangout let me know. Also, do the people interviewing Nov 30 still get called Dec 1?? since it is literally the day after

I doubt... USC doesn’t use 12/1 thing. They only send out 50 offers at the beginning of December. And then 36 offers monthly afterwards.

so during beginning of december, we'll either get accepted or rejected? Or if we don't get accepted right away, will we be on the wait-list? do you know?

You will either be accepted or waitlisted. Rejections won't go out for a long, long time as it takes an equally long time to fill the class of 144 especially with people putting deposits and committing to other schools on Dec 1st before USC has even interviewed enough applicants.

I was going to handwrite it.....until I realized how much writing I would have to do. Also, yes you pretty much reword/elaborate on what you said in AADSAS. Some of the questions are different though.
 
Interviewing nov 30. Has anyone else been discouraged by the extremely high expenses of USC? Also, any females willing to share a hotel room?

Same, kind of since my family friend she pays about $2500/month worth of student loans because of this school,but still doesn’t matter cause I want to be a dentist Lol.
 
Got interview for November but I called to decline.
No more November interview.

For those who have interviewed here so far (I think this week and last week people started interviewing), can you comment on how the interview was? Was it pretty laid back or kind of tough?
