Last year's thread: ***The Official USC Class of 2022 Interview/Acceptance Thread***

Hey everyone! I applied here last cycle and was accepted. While I will not be attending, I'm still available to answer any questions. Unfortunately I can't think of anyone who's attending 🙁 hopefully they answer back to this thread though.

Good luck everyone!

Just graduated from USC if anyone has anyone questions about D1-D4. Good luck this cycle!

Do most students receive scholarships? 100K in tuition per year is just so intimidating

Has anyone heard from USC yet after submitting the apps and fees?

On USC's AADSAS app, it asks, "Please list your professional achievements and include when and how long." What type of things are they looking for? The space is for 2000 characters.

I did not hear from them, but I checked earlier and there is an online portal for submitting the supplemental processing fee.

Saw on the DAT Bootcamp Interview group that some have already received a confirmation email. I sent my app and paid the fee right when it opened.
Has anyone received a confirmation email?

Received the confirmation email this evening, that they have received my application and supplemental fee required. The e-mail just contained basic confirmation info, telling you to make sure your ADEA ADSAS app is complete and everything is together so the ADCOM can begin reviewing the application.

Also, this "The Office of Admissions processes applications on a rolling admissions basis and conducts interviews from September through March. All applications to our program are subjected to a multi-tiered holistic review process that spans the entire period of the application cycle and continues until the entering class has been enrolled in late August."

submitted app 7/16 (already verified) but have not received email from USC should i be worried?

I paid the fee 10 days ago, how long did you all have to wait before receiving an official confirmation that your application was complete?

I paid my supplemental June 20th, verified July 6th, and got the confirmation email July 11th. So it should be a pretty quick turnaround. Maybe shoot them an email?

I submitted on 7/11, paid on 7/12, verified by AADSAS on 7/16, and got an e-mail on 7/18 confirming they received both my app & supplemental

Thanks for the info! I will give them a call on Monday

I paid the supplemental fee a month ago and just received an email today that they received my application but I haven't paid the fee yet -_- I have the confirmation of payment email and everything...

The exact same thing happened to me! I sent them an email with a copy of my receipt for the supplemental fee.

What was the interview like? Any advise?
Very weird, PBL isn't for me. The interview session was you in a group of about 8-10 or so, with first two rounds of icebreaker questions-- really easy. Second part was the actual interview, where you were given a case and you had to work through it using USC's approach (this is talked about in the docs you get with your interview invite). Trouble is, sometimes there are gunners and they try to speak over everyone else- be sure not to be this person, and also be sure you participate with useful input. I think it's also important to praise your fellow interviewees when they say something out of the box or something really helpful- it helps show that you're a team player. Other than that, the day is long so be prepared! Good luck 🙂

So essentially the whole interview is a group interview?
Yeah. Just answer the two questions and then work on a case ("problem") with your groupmates to get to the right conclusion. You will be watched by two interviewers the entire time, who sit in the corner and write notes on everyone lol. After that, it's a writing prompt, lunch, tour, and the financial aid presentation.

Thank you I appreciate it. It's my first interview so I'm very excited 🙂

Does anyone know how many pre-December interviews in USC has been left?

I was told that USC's admissions process normally starts later in the year than other schools, is that different this year? In the past, interviews were given out in the fall.

JUST RECEIVED AN INTERVIEW!!
Don't know if I should accept it since it is insanely expensive and the negative views on PBL . I figured I would apply because I never know what financial aid they give. But I am grateful for an interview though!

Same as post above! Just received the interview and scheduled for 9/19. Figured might as well go interview, as no there is no guarantee with anything.

Yeah I'm going because like you said, there's no guarantee. I know I'm going to regret it if I don't go!
Dont know which day though

I submitted my application 7/30, transcript verified 8/15, submitted my supplemental app fee 8/23, AADSAS status shows received/under review but I still have not received an email to confirm that they received my application and its complete, should I be worry?

No they will eventually send it

For icebreakers questions, do they have time limit?

Does anyone know how many interviews have been sent out? I really wanna go here 🙁

No but you're in a group where everyone has to have a chance to answer 2 questions plus do the actual PBL case, so your answer can't be very long (like 15 to 30sec, 45 sec-1min max).
I see. Do you have any suggestions on how to prepare this kind of interview? I am really nervous right now. Haha. Thank you so much!!
