Did they say how many seats were left at your interview, by any chance?

Or any comments given about approximately how long until the class will be full?

I wasn't told any of that, I'm sorry. Someone in my interview group said they had checked SDN and said roughly 1/3 of the class still was open as of the 20th but I am not sure how accurate that is.

so, i’ve been giving the last 3 schools updates on stuff that i keep doing (i know they like that) USC replies every single time that they are adding the update to my file (last update was 4 days ago).. would they reply if they didn’t consider me?

Does anyone know when the last interview date is for USC and if they are slowly selecting people off the waitlist for acceptances each week?

congrats guys im sure it was well deserved !!! cross your fingers for the rest of us please!! my interview was jan 16, haven't heard anything since but I keep emailing with updates and asking for updates... last email the counselor Andy told me to stop emailing basically lol

Anyone know how many positions are left? Or has anyone received any updates of when waitlist positions will either be denied or accepted?

I'm assuming they sent out the rest of the acceptances to fill up the class last Friday since their last interview date was April 3rd. waitlist people now have to wait till someone gives their seat up....IM ASSUMING IM NOT SURE.
Ive heard people from previous years on the wait list say that they don't send out rejections till like the first week of class, so when they're sure they won't be taking anymore students we'll receive a rejection.
but there's still hope, I heard a lot of people get accepted throughout summer, plus a lot of people seem to be giving their seat at USC up this year.

their website says that they interview through april! wouldn’t that mean that they stop interviewing at the end of the month?

Can anyone reccomend any safe places/areas an hour or less from the school to live at? I’m trying to find a place to move into by August. I can’t wait!

It can easily take an hour (sometimes more) for you to drive less than 15 miles in this city. If I were you I'd make my life easier and try to find a place closer to campus.

To anyone waiting on being accepted from the waitlist: Interviews apparently ended on April 3rd which was a Wednesday and the last day they accepted at least two individuals was on the 5th. If the class was had ~30 spots open at the end of March, I doubt they could fill all of those spots that quickly in two days. So April 12th, 19th, and 26th are our best dates to get pulled from the waitlist before the class becomes full. Keep up hope!

If ur okay with a one hour drive I would say look into places around westwood/ mid city/ cheviot hills areas.... closer areas like Korea town are cheaper than downtown and about 15-20 min

I keep looking on the facebook group to see if I can figure out how many seats are left lol ......

Someone said they were told 1/3rd were open mid March. And if the class is like ~140, that’s like 46ish. Let’s say in the last few interview days they miraculously filled half of those. There’s still 23 spots open for the waitlist, probably even more. But let me know if you figure something out lol

ok so I did some MAJOR stalking and the group had 140 something people in it rn, about 40 of them are current students so that means like 40 open seats... we can assume that 10-15 people probably aren't in the facebook group so yeah maybe like 25-30 open seats....... I'm reaching I know, its just hard not to wonder

wait so do you think it would take longer than that to fill up 1/3 of a class? sorry, I'm asking cause I actually dont know how long it takes to fill a class

I mean I’m sure two days isn’t enough time to look through everyone on the waitlist to pick like ~20 spots. They need more time lol.

Just graduated from USC if anyone has anyone questions about D1-D4. Good luck this cycle!
As a recent graduate, how are you preparing to tackle your loans? I'm interested in USC but the cost of attendance is intimidating.

I didn't take max loans, I matched into OMFS, currently on REPAYE with 50% interest subsidy until years 4-6 where I will likely start to aggressively pay by dumping majority of resident salary into loans and then pay even more when income jumps after finishing.

Why in the world would anyone go to this school??? Look at the tuition and tell me it’s worth 400k plus with growing interest to make 120 k if your lucky as general dentist lol.

honestly everyone has their own personal preference and its important to respect that. for the record my aunt is a dentist in Los Angeles and she takes home 60k a month after all her expenses..... everyones case is different

Has anyone status changed back to Received/ Under Review after being placed on the waitlist or have you heard of anything like this before?

Got accepted yesterday 9:08 am. Attending WesternU. Good luck everyone!
